Friday 18th April 2014  
  A Franklin's Gull was discovered on the Gower, Glamorgan this evening, being last seen at Wernffrwyd near dusk. A Red-rumped Swallow was seen a couple of times at Pennington Marshes, Hampshire, whilst a White-billed Diver was at Kirkabister, Shetland and a Black Kite was reported over Little Tey, Essex.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Baikal Teal in Cambridgeshire, Tawny Pipit in East Yorkshire and Two-barred Crossbills in Norfolk (two) and Greater Manchester.
