Tuesday 1st April 2014  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Blue-winged Teal in Northamptonshire at Stanwick. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Baikal Teal still in Cambridgeshire, American Coot in Highland, Pied-billed Grebe on the Western Isles, Two-barred Crosbills in both Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire (2), Dusky Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose in Dorset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan and White-billed Diver again on the Orkney Isles.

Scarcities included five Hoopoes, three Serins, White Stork (Lincolnshire), American Wigeon (Cambridgeshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Shorelark (East Yorkshire), Lapland Bunting (Pembrokeshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Somerset), two each of both Ring-necked Duck and Kumlien's Gull, three Surf Scoters, four Glossy Ibises and eight Great Grey Shrikes.
