  Long staying rarities still present today included the American Coot in Highland, Pacific Diver in County Tyrone, Ross's Gull in County Dublin, Ivory Gull and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Wexford, Laughing Gull in County Cork, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Cheshire, Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire.

Scarcities comprised a Pallas's Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Grey Phalarope, two Rough-legged Buzzards, two Ring-necked Ducks, two Surf Scoters, two Shorelarks, four Kumlien's Gulls, six Great Grey Shrikes, six Parrot Crossbills and nine Glossy Ibises.
