Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today comprised an American Buff-bellied Pipit in Berkshire,
Desert Wheatear in Aberdeenshire, Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk,
Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon and Lesser Scaup in Somerset. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Berkshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Hampshire), Hoopoe (Dorset), Rough-legged Buzzard (two in Norfolk), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Norfolk), American Wigeon (Highland), Ring-billed Gull (County Dublin, Hampshire and Highland), Kumlien's Gull (East Yorkshire), and Common Crane (seven in both Kent and Worcestershire). |
