	Headline rarities included King Eider and Desert Wheatear in Aberdeenshire, Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Co Clare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Long-billed Dowitcher in Pembrokeshire, Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk, Glossy Ibis in Hampshire and Red-breasted Geese in Suffolk and Dumfries & Galloway (the former apparently a new first-winter, not the bird present at the same site, North Warren RSPB, 29th December-3rd January). The best of the rest included Yellow-browed Warbler in Berkshire, Rose-coloured Starling in Devon, Temminck's Stint in Somerset and American Wigeon in Aberdeenshire.
