| New rarities today included Dusky Warblers on Inishmore Island, County
Galway and at Swinister, Shetland, two Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls on
North Ronaldsay, Orkney, Olive-backed Pipits on Bryher, Isles of Scilly
and at Fladdabister and Boddam, Shetland, three Richardson's Canada Geese
at Lissadell, County Sligo, Baird's Sandpiper on Harris, Western Isles
and the Lesser Scaup returned to Cardiff Bay, Glamorgan. A Glossy Ibis
flew over Aveton Gifford, Devon.
Lingering rarities included the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler in Fife, Lanceolated Warbler and two Olive-backed Pipits on Fair Isle, Radde's Warbler in Angus, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Red-breasted Goose in Kent, Bonaparte's Gull in Pembrokeshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Dublin, single Long-billed Dowitchers in Gloucestershire and Cheshire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Glossy Ibises in Cornwall (4) and Pembrokeshire. |
