	On Orkney the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper lingered on Westray throughout the day. Elsewhere rare waders included a Long-billed Dowitcher at Slimbridge WWT (Gloucestershire) and the White-rumped Sandpiper in Lincolnshire. The best of the rest included Red-backed Shrike in London, Pectoral Sandpiper in Essex and Cattle Egret in Norfolk. In Ireland lingering rarities and scarcities included the long-staying House Crow in Co Cork, Rose-coloured Starling in Co Waterford, Snowy Owl in Co Donegal and a Glossy Ibis in Co Wexford.
