	New discoveries included a Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Subalpine Warbler in Gwynedd, Gyr in Cornwall and Red-rumped Swallows in Norfolk and Aberdeenshire. On Western Isles a Snowy Owl reappeared on North Uist. Lingering rarities comprised Greater Yellowlegs and King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Forster's Tern in Co Wexford, Squacco Heron in Somerset, White-billed Diver on Orkney, Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, Red-rumped Swallow on Isles of Scilly and four Glossy Ibises in Pembrokeshire. The best of the rest included Woodchat Shrike in Devon, Serin in Suffolk, Hoopoe in Cornwall, Pectoral Sandpiper in Argyll and Night Heron in East Yorkshire.
