Long staying rarities seen today included the Common Yellowthroat in
Gwent, Spanish Sparrow and Dark-eyed Junco in Hampshire,
Paddyfield Warbler in Sussex, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Spotted Sandpiper in Dorset, Lesser
Scaup in Glamorgan, Richardson's Canada Goose in Argyll and Glossy
Ibises in Suffolk, Pembrokeshire (3) and a new bird in Anglesey.
Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Surf Scoter, two Green-winged Teals, two Ring-necked Ducks, three American Wigeon, three Yellow-browed Warblers, three Rough-legged Buzzards, seven Kumlien's Gulls and 11 Great Grey Shrikes. |
