| Lingering rarities included Black-throated Thrush in North Yorkshire,
Thayer's Gull in Co Galway, Little Bunting in Highland,
Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Devon, Bonaparte's Gull on Anglesey,
Pallid Harrier in Cornwall, Glossy Ibises in Somerset, Lesser
Scaup in Glamorgan and Black Kite in Powys. News was released of a
Lesser Scaup in Cornwall (present for at least its ninth day) and a
Black-bellied Dipper was on Mainland Shetland (for its second day).
Elsewhere a Richardson's Canada Goose lingered on Tiree, the Rose-coloured Starling was still in Oxfordshire, seven Great White Egrets and two Cattle Egrets were logged and Ring-necked Ducks were still in Cornwall, Orkney and West Yorkshire. |
