second-winter, male | Taken: Thu, 29 Oct 2015
Priory Country Park (Bedfordshire) | Date Added: Tue, 03 Nov 2015
A much cropped photo of the (presumed) second-winter drake (dull pinky legs, not bright orangy as likely on an eclipse drake) was in excellent plumage condition, kept well away from the shore, behaving normally for a wild bird - it had an as yet indeterminate small metal ring on its right leg and departed overnight after its single day visit - it's arrival on an inland lake in late autumn matches previous acceptances by BBRC of this species. |
