| New rarities today were an American Pipit on South Uist in the Western Isles, a Red-eyed Vireo on Lundy in Devon, a Red-footed Falcon at Bough Beech Resr in Kent, a Hume's Warbler at Helvick Head in County Waterford, a Greenish Warbler at Galley Head in County Cork, two Lesser Yellowlegs on South Uist in the Western Isles, and Baird's Sandpipers in Conwy, Orkney and Northumberland. | An Upland Sandpiper was an excellent find on St.Agnes on the Isles of Scilly this afternoon. Other new American waders found today were Baird's Sandpipers at Tacumshin in County Wexford and on South Uist in the Western Isles, a Spotted Sandpiper at Drift Reservoir in Cornwall and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Swilly in County Donegal.
A Red-throated Pipit flew over Portland Bill in Dorset, a Siberian Stonechat sp was found at The Naze in Essex and a Subalpine Warbler sp was an elusive find on The Garrison on St.Mary's, Isles of Scilly. There was some belated news from Kent yesterday, where a harrier photographed at Stodmarsh was identified as a Pallid Harrier. Lingering rarities were also dominated by American Waders and included Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork, Cheshire, Aberdeenshire and Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Fife, Leicestershire and Somerset and Semipalmated Sandpipers in Hampshire and County Kerry. Other lingerers included White-winged Scoter in Angus, King Eider in Shetland, Bonaparte's Gull in County Down, Black Stork in Suffolk, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier on Shetland, Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Galway and American Pipits in Shetland and Orkney. |

| New rarities today were an American Pipit in Orkney, a Pallid Harrier on Unst in Shetland, a Citrine Wagtail at Quendale in Shetland, a Long-billed Dowitcher at Lady's Island Lake in County Wexford, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Guardbridge in Fife, and more Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork, County Galway, County Wexford and County Kerry. Rarities included a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Swainson's Thrush in County Galway, an American Pipit in Shetland, a Booted Warbler in Cornwall, a Black Stork in Suffolk, Semipalmated Sandpipers in Hampshire and County Kerry, further Baird's Sandpipers in Cheshire and Shetland, a King Eider in Shetland, a Ferruginous Duck in Essex, an American Black Tern in Shetland, and further Lesser Yellowlegs in the Western Isles, Somerset and Leicestershire. |

| The find of the day today was a Western Black-eared Wheatear at Dursey Island in County Cork.
New rarities today consisted of a Bonaparte's Gull at Newcastle in County Down, a Citrine Wagtail at Grutness in Shetland, Semipalmated Sandpipers at both Pennington Flash in Hampshire and Westray in Orkney, Baird's Sandpipers at both Courtmacsherry in County Cork and Guile Point in Northumberland, a Spotted Sandpiper at Voxter in Shetland, a Booted Warbler at Zennor in Cornwall, a Western Bonelli's Warbler at Ocraquoy in Shetland, Ferruginous Ducks at both Draycote Water in Warwickshire and two at Abberton Reservoir in Essex, and a drake White-winged Scoter at Lunan Bay in Angus. Continuing rarities today consisted of Baird's Sandpipers in Aberdeenshire, Cleveland, Cheshire, Highland and Shetland, Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney, Lesser Yellowlegs in Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Somerset, Black Stork in Suffolk, American Black Tern in Shetland, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk and American Pipits in Ayrshire and Shetland. Other big news today came from the Challenger 1 Expedition of The Canyons 300km south-west of the Isle of Scilly in British waters from the 17th-23rd of September. Highlights seen on this trip were a White-faced Storm Petrel, a Band-rumped Petrel, a Fea's Petrel sp, a South Polar Skua and a Scopoli's Shearwater on the 19th as well as three Barolo Shearwaters with one seen on each the 19th, 20th and 21st. |

| New rarities today were an American Pipit at Saltcoats harbour in Ayrshire, Baird's Sandpipers at Achnahaird in Highland, Kinnaber in Angus and North Ronaldsay on Orkney, a Citrine Wagtail on Lewis in the Western Isles, and a White-rumped Sandpiper on North Ronaldsay, Orkney. Rarities included a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Swainson's Thrush in County Galway, an Eastern Olivaceous Warbler in Scilly, a White-throated Sparrow in Fife, an American Pipit in Shetland, further Baird's Sandpipers in County Mayo, Cheshire, Shetland and Cleveland, a King Eider in Shetland, a Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, an American Black Tern in Shetland, and further Lesser Yellowlegs in Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Essex, Somerset and Suffolk. |

Continuing rarities today consisted of King Eider in Shetland, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Baird's Sandpipers in Cheshire, Cleveland, Argyll and County Mayo, Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney, Lesser Yellowlegs in Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Somerset, American Black Tern in Shetland, Pallid Harrier in Wiltshire, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, American Pipit in County Kerry, Eastern Olivaceous Warbler in Scilly and Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk (3). |

| The find of the day was a Red-billed Tropicbird which flew north-west past Porthgwarra in Cornwall. New rarities today consisted of a Red-eyed Vireo at Kenfig Pool NNR in Glamorgan, a Laughing Gull at Bardsey Island in Gwynedd, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Quilty in County Clare, Baird's Sandpipers at Saltholme in Cleveland and at Ardley in Oxfordshire, a Pallid Harrier at Everleigh in Wiltshire, a Lesser Scaup at Lough Swilly in County Donegal, a Bonaparte's Gull at Dunnet Bay in Highland, and Lesser Yellowlegs at Whitehills in Aberdeenshire and at West Gerinish in the Western Isles. | A Booted Eagle flew high west over East Soar in Devon this morning and there were two new Baird's Sandpipers in Ireland, one in County Cork and one in County Wexford.
Lingering rarities included the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler and Greenish Warbler, both on Gugh on the Isles of Scilly, the Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Baird's Sandpipers in Glamorgan, Moray and County Antrim, Lesser Yellowlegs in Leicestershire and Cleveland, Wilson's Phalarope in Aberdeenshire, Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney, American Black Tern on Shetland and Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire. |
