| New rarities today consisted of a Barolo Shearwater off Pendeen Watch in Cornwall, as well as late news of a Red-billed Tropicbird off Looe, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Blennerville in County Kerry, an American Black Tern at Loch of Tingwall on Shetland, a Baird's Sandpiper at Valtos in the Western Isles, a Pallid Harrier west of Louth in Lincolnshire plus late news of three Northumberland, and a Red-footed Falcon at Cley NWT in Norfolk. Rarities included a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, a Solitary Sandpiper in Scilly, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, Western Bonelli's Warbler in Devon, a Hooded Merganser in Suffolk, further Baird's Sandpipers in Glamorgan, County Donegal, County Mayo and County Wexford, a Pallid Harrier in Shetland, and a Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney. |

Rarities included a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, a Solitary Sandpiper in Scilly, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, Baird's Sandpipers in County Cork, Glamorgan, Cornwall, County Wexford and County Mayo, a Pallid Harrier in Shetland, a Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, and a Greenish Warbler in Shetland. |

| Discoveries today included Barolo Shearwater and Fea's Petrel species in County Clare passing Bridges of Ross, Fea's Petrel species in County Kerry off Brandon Point, Pallid Harrier in Cornwall at Colliford Lake, Baird's Sandpiper in Cornwall at Siblyback Lane and Glamorgan at Black Pill, Western Bonelli's Warbler in Devon on Lundy, Bonelli's Warbler species in Scilly on Bryher, Greenish Warbler in Shetland at Grutness, Mainland, and in Norfolk a Ferruginous Duck at Cantley. Continuing rarities today comprised the Long-tailed Shrike along the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hudsonian Godwit, Zitting Cisticola, Black Stork, and Hooded Merganser in Suffolk, Solitary Sandpiper in Scilly, Baird's Sandpiper in County Donegal, Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, and Pallid Harrier in Shetland on Mainland although the Egyptian Nightjar could not be found. Significant late news concerned a Red-billed Tropicbird reported at sea off Rame Head, Cornwall yesterday. |

| The notable news today was the continuation of the Egyptian Nightjar at Virkie in Shetland, where it showed well dawn till dusk.
New rarities included an exceptional seawatching haul off County Cork with Barolo Shearwaters and Fea's Petrel sp records at Galley Head, Seven Heads, Toe Head and Brow Head, plus a Barolo Shearwater off Skomer in Pembrokeshire, a Long-billed Dowitcher on North Ronaldsay in Orkney, a Baird's Sandpiper at The Gearagh in County Cork, a Fea's Petrel sp at the Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, and a Brown Booby at North Foreland in Kent. Rarities were a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, a Solitary Sandpiper in Scilly, Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk, Fea's Petrel sp at the Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, a White-throated Sparrow in Fife, a reported Black Stork in Essex, Baird's Sandpipers in County Wexford, County Mayo and County Donegal, a Pallid Harrier in Shetland, a Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, and Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire, and a Red-footed Falcon in Suffolk. |

| Extraordinary news today of an Egyptian Nightjar in Shetland at Virkie, Mainland where it remained until dusk; the third British record following records at Rainworth, Nottinghamshire on 23rd June 1883 and Portland Bill, Dorset on 10th June 1984. Elsewhere discoveries today included a Pallid Harrier briefly in Hertfordshire at Maple Cross, and in Ireland Baird's Sandpipers new in County Donegal at Blanket Nook and at Achill Island, County Mayo. Continuing rarities today comprised the Long-tailed Shrike along the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hudsonian Godwit, Zitting Cisticola, Black Stork and Red-footed Falcon in Suffolk, Solitary Sandpiper and Citrine Wagtail together in Scilly, White-throated Sparrow in Fife, Pallid Harrier in Shetland, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Baird's Sandpipers in County Kerry and County Wexford, and Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. |

| Discoveries today included a Fea's Petrel species in County Kerry passing Deelick Point, and a White-rumped Sandpiper in the Western Isles on North Uist. In County Galway the Bonaparte's Gull returned to Ballyconneely. Continuing rarities today included the Long-tailed Shrike along the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hudsonian Godwit, Black Stork and Red-footed Falcon all in Suffolk, Solitary Sandpiper and Citrine Wagtail together in Scilly, two Pallid Harriers together in Shetland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Dublin, and Baird's Sandpipers in both County Wexford and Wirral. |

| The new rarities today included a second Pallid Harrier at Brow Marsh in Shetland, a Baird's Sandpiper at Meols in Wirral, a South Polar Skua past Bridges of Ross in County Clare and a Barolo Shearwater past Annagh Head in County Mayo.
Continuing rarities today included Ferruginous Duck in Oxfordshire, Solitary Sandpiper on Scilly, Hudsonian Godwit in Suffolk/Essex, Baird's Sandpiper in both County Kerry and County Wexford, Black Stork in Suffolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Red-footed Falcon in Suffolk, Pallid Harrier in Shetland, Long-tailed Shrike in Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire, Citrine Wagtail on Scilly and White-throated Sparrow in Fife. |

| Discoveries today included in Scilly a Solitary Sandpiper on Tresco and a Greenish Warbler on St Mary's, a Brown Booby in Fife passing Fife Ness, a Whiskered Tern in Somerset at Shapwick Heath, and a Fea's Petrel species in Cornwall passing Porthgwarra, and a Citrine Wagtail at Rerwick, Mainland, Shetland. Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Long-tailed Shrike along the Gloucestershire/ Oxfordshire border, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hudsonian Godwit, Red-footed Falcon and White-rumped Sandpiper all in Suffolk, Elegant Tern in County Kerry, White-throated Sparrow in Fife, Pacific Diver in Highland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Dublin, Baird's Sandpiper in County Clare and County Kerry, Pallid Harrier and Citrine Wagtail in Scilly, and Ferruginous Duck in Hertfordshire. |

Rarities included a Pallid Harrier in Shetland, Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk and Oxfordshire, a Bonaparte's Gull in Fife, a Blyth's Reed Warbler and Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, a further Citrine Wagtail in Scilly, a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford and another in the Western Isles, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, an Elegant Tern and Baird's Sandpiper in County Kerry and County Wexford, a Greenish Warbler in Aberdeenshire, and a Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. |
