  Rarities in Britain today comprised the Black-winged Kite still in Norfolk, Stejneger's Scoter still in Fife, Canvasback in Essex, Forster's Tern in Dorset, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Hume's Warbler in Warwickshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gulls in Devon (2) and Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Denbighshire, and Lesser Scaups in Shropshire and Worcestershire (2).

In Ireland the Harlequin Duck was still in County Donegal, Pacific Diver still in County Cork, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Long-billed Dowitcher and Lesser Scaup in County Wexford, and a Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Friday 13th March 2026  
  The new rarities today were a Tengmalm's Owl (present since yesterday) in Ollaberry, Shetland, a drake Lesser Scaup in Ellesmere, Shropshire and a Bonaparte's Gull at South Huist Marsh, Devon.

Continuing rarities included Canvasback in Essex, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Essex (2), Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire and Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Denbighshire, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Warwickshire and Dusky Warbler in Cornwall.

  Rarities today comprised the Black-winged Kite still in Norfolk, Canvasback and two Lesser Scaups together in Essex, Forster's Tern still in Dorset, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall.

Wednesday 11th March 2026  
  The new rarity today was a Pallid Harrier seen flying over woodland near Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

Continuing rarities included Canvasback in Essex, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in County Cork and Worcestershire (2), Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone and Warwickshire, Red-breasted Goose and Ross's Goose in Argyll, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk, Zitting Cisticola in Suffolk and Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent.

  Continuing rarities included Canvasback in Essex, Hooded Merganser in Gloucestershire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Baikal Teal in Glamorgan/Carmarthenshire, Lesser Scaup in Essex and Worcestershire (2), Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire and Norfolk, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and Cornwall (2), Black-winged Kite in Norfolk and Hume's Warbler in Suffolk.

Monday 9th March 2026  
  The Black-winged Kite was still present at Ludham in Norfolk today and other lingering rarities included Forster's Tern still showing well at Poole Harbour in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gulls in Devon, Cornwall and the Western Isles, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Stejneger's Scoter, or possibly hybrid, in Fife, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Lesser Scaups in Worcestershire (2) and Essex, Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire and Norfolk, Baikal Teal in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim and Denbighshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Red-flanked Bluetailin Kent Dusky Warbler in Cornwall and Hume's Warblers in Suffolk and Warwickshire.

  The new rarity today was a Bonaparte's Gull at Ardivachar on South Uist, Western Isles.

Continuing rarities included Redhead in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Canvasback in Essex, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in Worcestershire, Essex and County Wexford, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone, Ross's Goose in Argyll, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall (2), Devon and County Antrim, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Hume's Warbler in Warwickshire and Suffolk and Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent.

Saturday 7th March 2026  
  The new rarities today were a drake Canvasback at Abberton Reservoir in Essex, a Bonaparte's Gull on the Plym Estuary in Devon and a female Lesser Scaup at Lough Neagh in County Armagh.

Continuing rarities included Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Black Scoter in County Kerry, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Essex, Worcestershire (2) and County Wexford, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Norfolk and County Tyrone, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Donegal (2), Pacific Diver in County Donegal, Double-crested Cormorant in County Sligo, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall (2) and Hume's Warbler in Warwickshire and Suffolk.

  Another day with no new rarities found, but again lots of good birds around, including Forster's Tern showing well at Poole Harbour in Dorset, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Redhead in County Kerry, Stejneger's Scoter, or possibly hybrid, in Fife, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Lesser Scaups in Worcestershire (2) and County Wexford, Ferruginous Ducks in County Tyrone, Warwickshire and Norfolk, Pacific Diver in County Donegal, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Denbighshire, Long-billed Dowitchers in County Wexford and Orkney, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent and Hume's Warblers in Suffolk and Warwickshire.

  In Cornwall today new or relocating rarities were a Pacific Diver at St Ives Island and a Bonaparte's Gull at Mawgan Porth, with another Bonaparte's Gull still at Hayle and the Dusky Warbler still at Boscathnoe Reservoir.

Elsewhere rarities comprised Harlequin Duck and two Richardson's Cackling Geese still in County Donegal, Zitting Cisticola and Hume's Warbler both still in Suffolk, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Baikal Teal on the Carmarthenshire/Glamorgan birder, Hume's Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, Lesser Scaup in Northamptonshire, and a Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk.
