  Mega highlights included late news of a Great Crested Flycatcher in Shetland last week (although not seen since) and a Black-faced Bunting at Spurn, East Yorkshire.

Other new rarities included Hume's Warbler at Sammy's Point/Eastington, East Yorkshire, Hume's Warbler at Stiffkey, Norfolk, Eastern Nightingale (form golzii) at Rattray Head, Aberdeenshire, Cackling Goose at The Mullet, County Mayo, White-rumped Sandpiper at Belmullet, County Mayo, Western Oriental Turtle Dove (form meena) at Fair Isle, Shetland, and Semipalmated Sandpiper at The Gearagh, County Cork.

Continuing rarities included American Pipit in Scilly, White-rumped Sandpiper in Staffordshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles, Red-throated Pipit on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, Pallid Harrier in Pembrokeshire, Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, White-rumped Sandpipers in County Derry, and Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire.
