  New rarities included a Black-browed Albatross at Cape Clear, County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull at Cloghey, County Down, Red-flanked Bluetail at Margate Cemetery, Kent, Semipalmated Sandpiper at Macroom, County Cork, Radde's Warblers at Portland Bill, Dorset and Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Red-throated Pipit on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, Dusky Warbler on Tresco, Scilly, Pallid Harrier at Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Red-breasted Goose on Islay, Argyll, Cackling Goose at Lissadell, County Sligo, White-rumped Sandpiper at Blithfield Reservoir, Staffordshire, and White-rumped Sandpipers at Leam Lough (four) and Achill Island (two), County Mayo.

Continuing rarities included American Pipit in Scilly, Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in North Yorkshire, Baikal Teal in Dorset, White-rumped Sandpipers in Anglesey, Cornwall, County Clare, County Wexford, County Derry, and Angus, Baird's Sandpiper in Cornwall and Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and County Wexford, Ross's Goose in Merseyside, Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Blackpoll Warbler in Shetland, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan and Norfolk, Greenish Warbler in Scilly, Red-footed Falcon in Kent, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll.
