| Today the roaming Caspian Tern spent a while at Kilvington Lakes in Nottinghamshire before moving on again.
Lingering rarities included the White-rumped Sandpiper in Kent, Black Stork in Suffolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, two Lesser Scaups together in Staffordshire, American Black Tern in Lothian and Laughing Gull in County Kerry. Seawatching along the east coast produced a good smattering of records of Cory's and Great Shearwaters and Pomarine Skuas. |
