| The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first Blyth's Reed Warbler of the spring in Devon at Berry Head.
In Shetland the Eyebrowed Thrush remained on Yell but there was no sign of the Pallas's Reed Bunting on Fair Isle. Elsewhere, continuing rarities comprised the Western Sandpiper still in Ayrshire, Whiskered Tern in Cornwall, territorial Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Louth, and American Black Tern in Northumberland. In Aberdeenshire the reported Pacific Golden Plover was still present on the Ythan Estuary but was reidentified as an American Golden Plover. |

| Fair Isle (Shetland) came up trumps today with the discovery of a superb male Pallas's Reed Bunting at Wirvie. This is the fifth British record, two of which have also been on Fair Isle. Staying on Shetland, a Great Snipe was found on Papa Stour and the Eye-browed Thrush continued to give good views at Gutcher, on Yell.
Elsewhere, a Red-rumped Swallow flew past Flamborough Head in Yorkshire, with other new discoveries being a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Louth, a Pacific Golden Plover in Aberdeenshire and a Red-footed Falcon in Cornwall. Lingering rarities included the Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, the Whiskered Tern in Cornwall, the American Black Tern in Northumberland, the Red-rumped Swallow in the Spurn area of Yorkshire and the Great Reed Warbler, also in Yorkshire. |

| Exciting news today of a Eyebrowed Thrush on Shetland at Gutcher, Yell; eight of the 31 British records have occurred in the last five years.
Discoveries elsewhere included a Whiskered Tern in Cornwall at Helston Loe Pool, Lesser Scaup in Perth and Kinross at Vane Farm, Red-rumped Swallow in East Yorkshire at Spurn, and Black Kites in Kent at Seasalter and East Yorkshire at Buckton. Continuing rarities comprised the Least Tern still in County Dublin, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, and American Black Tern in Northumberland. |

| Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset at Lodmoor, and a Red-rumped Swallow briefly in East Yorkshire at Bridlington.
Continuing rarities comprised the Western Sandpiper still in Ayrshire, Pacific Diver in County Donegal, Savi's Warbler in Oxfordshire, Great Reed Warbler in East Yorkshire, Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, American Black Tern in Northumberland, and Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire. |

| The highlight of the day was a Western Sandpiper found at Maidens, Ayrshire. Other new rarities included an American Herring Gull at John O'Groats in Highland, and a Red-footed Falcon at Blunham in Bedfordshire.
Lingering rarities included the Booted Eagle briefly again in Norfolk, Least Tern in County Dublin, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork, Spotted Sandpiper in Somerset, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Red-footed Falcons in Suffolk, Essex, and Kent. |

| The highlight of the day for most was a Eastern Bonelli's Warbler found at Dungeness, Kent. Another strong contender was the reappearance of the Booted Eagle in the Kelling area, Norfolk. Other new rarities included an Alpine Swift in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork at Clogheen Marsh, Red-footed Falcons in Suffolk at Dunwich Heath and Kent at Stodmarsh, and Spotted Sandpiper at Chew Valley Lake, Somerset.
Lingering rarities included the Collared Flycatcher in Western Isles, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Red-footed Falcon in Kent. |
