| No new rarities were found today, but a bit if belated news concerned a West Siberian Stonechat at Icklesham in Sussex in November.
The Grey-headed Lapwing remained in Northumberland and the Baikal Teal remained present in Somerset. Other lingering rarities included the Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, Lesser Scaups in County Donegal, County Cork, Staffordshire and Essex, Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, and Hume's Warbler in Cornwall. |

| Discoveries today included a Hume's Warbler in Cornwall at Newlyn, a Lesser Scaup in County Cork at Lough Clubir, and a White-billed Diver at South Nesting Bay, Shetland.
Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Grey-headed Lapwing in Northumberland, both American Coot and Bufflehead in Shetland, Baikal Teal and Kentish Plover in Somerset, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire (2), Lincolnshire, and Warwickshire. |

| One new rarity was found today, a Penduline Tit at Ouse Fen in Cambridgeshire.
The Grey-headed Lapwing remained in Northumberland and seems to be settling down and the Baikal Teal was again present in Somerset. Other lingering rarities included the American Coot in Shetland, Lesser Scaups in County Wexford (two), Staffordshire and Cambridgeshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire, Warwickshire and Lincolnshire, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and County Cork, and Hume's Warbler in Kent. |

| The Baikal Teal returned to Greylake RSPB in Somerset for its third winter today.

| The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Pacific Diver in County Cork at Crookhaven; its eighth winter at this location.
Continuing rarities comprised both the American Coot and Bufflehead still in Shetland, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Pallid Harrier in County Cork, White-rumped Sandpiper in Suffolk, both White-billed Diver and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Cornwall, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Ferruginous Ducks in Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, and Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Staffordshire, and County Wexford. |

| Maybe not surprisingly, with Storm Darragh bringing strong northerly winds down the east coast, the main focus of attention today was on Little Auks. Birds were recorded all along the east coast from Shetland to Kent, with maximum counts of 127 past Whitburn and 66 past Seaton Sluice in County Durham, 101 past Flamborough in East Yorkshire and 98 past Beadnell in Northumberland.
