Saturday 26th October 2024  
  Bird of the day was Black-faced Bunting, with three present. The bird in Lincolnshire was still present at Donna Nook, trapped and ringed mid morning then seen several times subsequently. Another was trapped at Oxwich, Glamorgan (but wasn't seen after release), and a third remained for its eighth day on North Ronaldsay, Orkney.

A Red-eyed Vireo was found at Holyhead, Anglesey, with other new discoveries including an American Pipit at Reawick, Shetland, a Hume's Warbler at Ventnor, Isle of Wight, Dusky Warblers at Mizen Head, County Cork and Hook Head, County Wexford, two White-rumped Sandpipers at Loch Paible, Western Isles and a further two White-rumped Sandpipers and a Blue-winged Teal at Tacumshin, County Wexford.

Friday 25th October 2024  
  Discoveries today consisted of a Black-faced Bunting at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire, in Norfolk two Penduline Tits were found at Weybourne, a Dusky Warbler at Trimingham, and a Bonaparte's Gull flew south over Hempstead. Further afield two White-rumped Sandpipers were found in the Western Isles on Barra, Lesser Scaups at Roscommon, County Roscommon, and Cahore(2), County Wexford, and Red-throated Pipit in Portland, Dorset.

Continuing rarities comprised the Black-faced Bunting still on the Orkney Isles, White-winged Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland and County Galway, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Sussex, Booted Warbler in Orkney, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon, Orkney, and Norfolk, and Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and County Wexford.

Thursday 24th October 2024  
  Discoveries today included Dusky Warblers at Cape Clear, County Cork, and St.Martin's, Scilly, on St.Mary's there was an Olive-backed Pipit and White-rumped Sandpiper, on Bryher a Red-throated Pipit was seen. Further afield in Norfolk a White-rumped Sandpiper was found at Snettisham and Black Scoter at Holkham.

Continuing rarities comprised the Black-faced Bunting still on the Orkney Isles, White-winged Scoter in Northumberland, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs on Scilly(2) and in Norfolk, Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear in Sussex, Canvasback in Essex, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Booted Warbler in Orkney, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon, Orkney, and Norfolk, and Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and County Wexford.

Wednesday 23rd October 2024  
  Discoveries today included four Scopoli's Shearwaters c5mls SW of St.Mary's, Scilly, Lesser Yellowlegs at Buckenham Marshes, Norfolk, Olive-backed Pipit on Inishmore, County Galway, Red-rumped Swallow at Spurn, East Yorkshire, and a Dusky Warbler on Papa Westray, Orkney.

Continuing rarities comprised the Black-faced Bunting still on the Orkney Isles, White-winged Scoter and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs on Scilly and in Lancashire, Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland, Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset, Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon and Norfolk, and Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and County Derry.

Tuesday 22nd October 2024  
  Discoveries today included a Desert Wheatear in East Sussex at Beachy Head, a Kentish Plover in Norfolk at Holme, Red-rumped Swallows in Aberdeenshire at Collieston and Donmouth and Highland at Cromarty (3), Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland at Bamburgh, Cackling Goose on the Shetland Isles at Loch of Spiggie, Lesser Scaup in County Londonderry at Lough Beg, White-billed Diver in Highland at Brora, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Lancashire at Hesketh Out Marsh, and now two together on Tresco, Isles of Scilly .

Continuing rarities comprised the Black-faced Bunting still on the Orkney Isles, Canvasback in Essex, White-winged Scoter in Northumberland, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Cork, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Olive-backed Pipit on Shetland, Dusky Warblers in County Cork and County Waterford, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon and Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper on the Western Isles, Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, and Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and County Wexford.

Monday 21st October 2024  
  The highlight of the day was a Black-browed Albatross in County Mayo passing The Mullet in the morning within an unprecedented movement of over 45,000 Great Shearwaters along the west coast of Ireland. Elsewhere, an Olive-backed Pipit was new on the Shetland Isles at Lerwick, Mainland, as was a White-rumped Sandpiper on the Western Isles on South Uist, and single Lesser Scaups in Argyll on Islay and in County Wexford at Cahore.

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Black-faced Bunting on the Orkney Isles, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Eastern Stonechat species in Cornwall, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Cork, Dusky Warbler in County Waterford, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Devon and Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs on the Isles of Scilly, and Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire.

Sunday 20th October 2024  
  The highlight of day was a Common Nighthawk delivered to St Mary's, Isles of Scilly by Storm Ashley; the ninth Nearctic landbird - and sixth species - to be found in Britain so far this autumn.

Discoveries elsewhere included a Yelkouan Shearwater in Devon passing Berry Head, a Radde's Warbler in Fife on the Isle of May, two Dusky Warblers on the Shetland Isles both on Whalsay, and in Lincolnshire a Red-rumped Swallow flew over Gibraltar Point.

Continuing rarities comprised the Isabelline Shrike species still in Dorset, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Canvasback in Essex, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Devon and Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs on Scilly, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Bonaparte's Gull in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire.

Significant late new from yesterday concerned the pale morph Booted Eagle reported again in Cormwall at Numphra.

  Discoveries today were headlined by a Black-faced Bunting on the Orkney Isles on North Ronaldsay, a new Northern Harrier in County Wexford at Lady's Island Lake, Isabelline Wheatear in Aberdeenshire at Collieston, Isabelline Shrike species in Dorset at Gillingham, Fea's Petrel species in Cornwall off The Lizard, Dusky Warbler in County Durham at Blackhall Rocks, Red-rumped Swallow in Essex at The Naze, White-billed Diver in Borders at St Abb's Head, and Bonaparte's Gulls in County Cork at Donemark and County Donegal at Lough Swilly.

In Northumberland the White-winged Scoter reappared in Northumberland at Bamburgh, Blyth's Pipit and Lesser Yellowlegs remained on the Isles of Scilly, as did another Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Red-flanked Bluetail and Radde's Warbler both in East Yorkshire, Arctic Warbler in North Yorkshire, Greenish Warbler on Shetland, Dusky Warblers in County Cork and County Waterford, Eastern Stonechat species in Cornwall and Northumberland, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Cork, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, and Long-billed Dowitchers in both Devon and Norfolk.

Friday 18th October 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Barolo Shearwater off Cape Cornwall, Cornwall, a Fea's Petrel species off the Scillonian between Cornwall and Scilly, an Isabelline Shrike species at Sandwich Bay, Kent, a Radde's Warbler at Skirza, Highland, a Dusky Warbler at Burnmouth, Borders, a Red-rumped Swallow at Kettleness, Yorkshire and a Ferruginous Duck at Willen Lake, Buckinghamshire.

Lingering rarities still present included the American Robin and Booted Warbler in Orkney, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Cork, Arctic Warbler and Red-flanked Bluetail in Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler in County Waterford, Greenish Warbler and White-winged Scoter in Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly and Essex, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife and Long-billed Dowitcher and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk.

  Another excellent day for eastern rarities with discoveries including a Radde's Warbler in East Yorkshire at Flamborough Head, an Olive-backed Pipit in Norfolk at Holme Dunes, a Red-throated Pipit in County Cork at Knockadoon Head, and Arctic Warblers in North Yorkshire at Saltwick Nab and on Fair Isle, Shetland Isles.

Continuing eastern rarities confirmed as still present were the Blyth's Pipit on the Isles of Scilly, Paddyfield Warbler and Greenish Warbler together on Shetland, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Pembrokeshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in East Yorkshire, Radde's Warbler in Dorset, Eastern Stonechat species in both Cornwall and Northumberland, and Dusky Warblers in County Cork, County Waterford, and East Yorkshire.

From elsewhere came a Penduline Tit to Porthgwarra, Cornwall, and a Red-rumped Swallow over Flamborough Head whilsting the American Robin was still present on the Orkney Isles, as was a Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs on Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire.
