| The highlight of the day was a significant fall of drift migrants on the Engligh east coast including a Thrush Nightingale in Norfolk at Blakeney Point, and Greenish Warblers in Norfolk (Holme Dunes and Sea Palling), East Yorkshire (Flamborough Head), and North Yorkshire (Whitby).
Discoveries elsewhere comprised a Tawny Pipit briefly in Somerset at Burnham-on-Sea, a Long-billed Dowitcher in County Down at Quoile Pondage, a Red-footed Falcon in County Donegal at Rinnasligo, a Black Kite briefly in Perth and Kinross at Dunning, and a White-billed Diver in Aberdeenshire at Banff. Continuing rarities comprised the Hudsonian Godwit still in Flintshire, Canvasback in Essex, two Semipalmated Sandpipers in Cornwall, Citrine Wagtail and Greenish Warbler both on the Shetland Isles, White-rumped Sandpipers in County Dublin and Norfolk (2), and Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire. |

| Today's easterly winds in southern England did not bring as much excitement as some had thought they might, but seawatching produced a White-billed Diver flying north up the Suffolk coast, with another past Fife Ness in Fife.
The Hudsonian Godwit put in another appearance on the Dee Estuary in Flintshire and the Stilt Sandpiper was still to be found at Kilnsea in East Yorkshire. Other lingering rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in both Norfolk and County Dublin, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall, Black-headed Bunting, Greenish Warbler and Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, with a further Citrine Wagtail still in County Wexford. |

| A pelagic trip off the Isles of Scilly produced another sighting of South Polar Skua this evening, south west of Bishop Rock, whilst the east coast saw a smart Stilt Sandpiper found at Beacon Ponds, Kilnsea, and on the Northern Isles a Great Snipe was seen on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, and a Greenish Warbler was on Unst in the Shetlands.
Lingering rarities included Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, two White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk, Gull-billed Tern on The Scillies, Citrine Wagtails on Shetland and in County Wexford and Black-headed Bunting in Shetland. |

| A Barolo Shearwater flew past Bridges of Ross, County Clare and a Tawny Pipit flew over Easington, Yorkshire.

| In Ireland the highlight of the day was a Citrine Wagtail new in County Wexford at Tacumshin, and another Scopoli's Shearwater idenitifed at Bridges of Ross, County Clare.
In Britain Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Hudsonian Godwit in Flintshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Black-headed Bunting on the Shetland Isles, Gull-billed Tern on the Isles of Scilly, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpiper in Norfolk, Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire. |

| Discoveries today included a Black-headed Bunting on the Shetland Isles on Foula, a Gull-billed Tern on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's this evening, and in Cornwall an Aquatic Warbler briefly at Pendeen and a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Marazion.
Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Hudsonian Godwit in Flintshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall on the Hayle Estuary, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Citrine Wagtail on Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, and White-rumped Sandpipers in both County Dublin and Norfolk (2) A Fea's Petrel again passed Bridges of Ross, County Clare although the Pterodroma species logged there yesterday is now suspected to have been a Zino's Petrel. Late news for yesterday of a Scopoli's Shearwater at Galley Head, County Cork. |

| Mega seabirds provided the highlights again today with a South Polar Skua and a Fea's Petrel passing Porthgwarra, Cornwall, two Scopoli's Shearwaters at sea off the Isles of Scilly, and in Ireland a Fea's Petrel species and three Scopoli's Shearwaters logged at the Bridges of Ross, County Clare.
Rarities elsewhere comprised the Hudsonian Godwit still in Flintshire, Stejneger's Scoter still in Lothian, Canvasback in Essex, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpipers in County Dublin, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk (2), Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire. |

| The highlight of the day was yet another South Polar Skua and a Fea's Petrel species at sea off the Isles of Scilly whilst in Flintshire the Hudsonian Godwit remained at Flint Castle where it was joined by a Lesser Yellowlegs.
Elsewhere rarities comprised the Stejneger's Scoter still in Lothian, Canvasback still in Essex, Franklin's Gull and Semipalmated Sandpiper together in Cornwall, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Pembrokeshire, Citrine Wagtail on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, and White-rumped Sandpipers in Cleveland, County Dublin, County Kerry, Lincolnshire, Moray, and Norfolk. |

| In the strong winds today a Bridled or Sooty Tern was seen briefly off Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset, then lost to view and may have flown inland. Two new Nearctic shorebirds were found today, a Spotted Sandpiper on St.Kilda in the Western Isles and a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Streedagh in County Sligo. From the other direction, a Blyth's Reed Warbler was found on Bressay in Shetland.
The Hudsonian Godwit was again on the Dee Estuary in Flintshire, but was not very obliging. Other lingering rarities included White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk, Moray and County Dublin, Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Cork and Cornwall, Baird's Sandpiper in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, Canvasback in Essex, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire and Citrine Wagtail on Fair Isle in Shetland. |
