  Highlights today consisted of an Red-rumped Swallow and Alpine Swift in Cornwall at Porthgwarra, two Great Reed Warblers, one in Nottinghamshire at Idle Valley NR, the other in North Yorkshire at Staveley YWT, another Red-rumped Swallow was found in Lothian at Aberlady Bay, and a Savi's Warbler in Cleveland at Saltholme RSPB.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Savi's Warbler on territory in Leicestershire, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire at Napton Reservoir

Wednesday 15th May 2024  
  The highlight of day was the return of the American Black Tern to Long Nanny, Northumberland for at least its fifth summer. New rarities today were all brief encounters: a Black Kite in Nottinghamshire at Annesley, a White-billed Diver in Highland at Brora, and a Dusky Warbler reported at Maryculter, Aberdeenshire.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Black Duck in Forth, Elegant Tern in County Mayo, Savi's Warblers on territory in both Leicestershire and East Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull on the Shetland Isles, and in Lincolnshire Red-breasted Goose, Lesser Yellowlegs, and Black-winged Stilt all still together at Frampton Marsh.

Tuesday 14th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Black Duck at Skinflats, Forth, a Great Reed Warbler at Abbotsbury, Dorset, an Alpine Swift on Bardsey, Gwynedd, a Pallid Harrier at Shoeburyness, Essex and a Bonaparte's Gull at Norwick, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included the Elegant Tern in County Mayo, Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire, Pallid Harrier in Shetland, Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-winged Stilt and Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset.

Monday 13th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Pallid Harrier at Levenwick, Shetland, a Black Kite at Minsmere, Suffolk and a Long-billed Dowitcher at Harper's Island, County Cork.

Lingering rarities included the Elegant Tern in County Mayo, Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire and Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-winged Stilt and Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire.

Sunday 12th May 2024  
  Two Whiskered Terns spent the morning at Stodmarsh in Kent and this evening there was a report of an albatross sp flying past Brora in Highland. Late news yesterday came from Devon, where an Alpine Swift was seen at Christow.

In Ireland the Elegant Tern remained in County Mayo at Belmullet, with a Lesser Yellowlegs still in County Louth. Other lingering rarities included the Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire and Red-footed Falcon again in Kent, whilst Frampton Marsh in Lincolnshire held on to the Lesser Yellowlegs, Red-breasted Goose and Black-winged Stilt.

Saturday 11th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included an Elegant Tern at Belmullet in County Mayo, Red-footed Falcon at Worth in Kent, Bonaparte's Gull at Ferrybridge in Dorset, Black Kite at Holywell in Flintshire, Alpine Swift at Ballycastle in County Antrim, and Tawny Pipit at Pendeen in Cornwall.

Lingering rarities included Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire, Red-breasted Goose and Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Black Duck in County Mayo, and White-billed Diver in Highland.

Friday 10th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Black-winged Stilt at Gibraltar Point, Lincolnshire, White-billed Diver at Lossiemouth, Moray, Black Kites at St.Mary's, Orkney and Praa Sands, Cornwall and a Lesser Grey Shrike at Lilley, Hertfordshire.

Lingering rarities included Savi's Warbler in Leicestershire and Yorkshire, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, White-billed Diver in Highland.

Thursday 9th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included a Thrush Nightingale at Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff at Kilnsea, Yorkshire and a Black Kite over Fair Isle, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included Savi's Warblers in County Louth, Leicestershire and Yorkshire, Gull-billed Tern in County Wexford, Black-winged Stilt, Lesser Yellowlegs and Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwckshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset.

Wednesday 8th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included a White-billed Diver off Esha Ness in Shetland, Great Reed Warbler at Carr Vale in Derbyshire, Thrush Nightingale at Frampton Marsh in Lincolnshire, and a Rustic Bunting on Foula, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included the Savi's Warblers in Leicestershire, East Yorkshire, and County Louth, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Black-winged Stilt in Lincolnshire, Ferruginous Duck in Gloucestershire, Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire, Forster's Tern in Dorset Gull-billed Tern in County Wexford, Pacific Diver in County Cork, and Red-footed Falcon in Norfolk.

Tuesday 7th May 2024  
  New discoveries today included an Eastern Subalpine Warbler at Porth Hellick, Scilly, an unidentified Subalpine Warbler species at Blakeney, Norfolk, Red-throated Pipits at Hartlepool, Cleveland and on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, a Red-rumped Swallow at South Foreland, Kent, a Gull-billed Tern at Cahore, County Wexford and a White-billed Diver off Sandwick, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included the Savi's Warblers in Leicestershire and County Louth, Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilt in Lincolnshire, Ferruginous Duck in Gloucestershire, Red-breasted Geese in Norfolk and Lincolnshire, Pacific Diver in County Cork and White-billed Diver in Moray.
