New discoveries today included a Bufflehead on Loch Leven, Perth and Kinross, a Red-flanked Bluetail on Fair Isle, Shetland, a Red-rumped Swallow at Christchurch Harbour, Dorset and a second White-billed Diver joined the lingering bird off Portsoy, Aberdeenshire.
Other lingering rarities included the Myrtle Warbler in Ayrshire, Rustic Bunting and Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, White-winged Scoter in County Kerry, Lesser Scaups in Essex (two), Cheshire and Clyde, Pacific Diver in County Cork, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitchers in County Wexford, County Wicklow and Norfolk and Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and County Louth. |

New rarities today were an Alpine Swift at Shoalstone in Devon, and a Bonaparte's Gull at Carnfunnock Country Park in County Antrim

New discoveries today included single Bonaparte's Gulls at St Dogmaels, Pembrokeshire and Bowers Gifford, Essex, and a White-billed Diver off Dunure, Ayrshire.

The highlight of the day was the discovery of an adult male Bufflehead in Aberdeenshire on Sand Loch at dusk. Perhaps all the sightings of adult male Bufflehead this winter in both Ireland - in County Galway 13th-16th January, County Westmeath 27th February-12th March, and County Cavan on 13th March - and Britain - in Clyde on 19th March and in Aberdeenshire today - are the same individual heading northeast.
Rarities elsewhere comprised the Myrtle Warbler still in Ayrshire, Rustic Bunting and Coues's Arctic Redpoll reported as still together Norfolk, Pallid Harriers in Carmthenshire/Glamorgan and Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Long-billed Dowitchers in Norfolk, County Wexford, and County Wicklow, and Lesser Scaups still in County Armagh and Clyde, and new in Cumbria (2) and Suffolk (5). |

New discoveries today included a Long-billed Dowitcher at Kilcoole, County Wicklow and single Alpine Swifts over Bristol, Somerset and Studland, Dorset.
Lingering rarities still present included the Myrtle Warbler in Ayrshire, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Gull-billed Tern in County Cork, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Lesser Scaups in Cheshire, Lancashire (two), County Monaghan and County Armagh, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Donegal, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk. |

A Alpine Swift was found at Southwell in Dorset, whilst a White-billed Diver was seen near Lochmaddy in Western Isles.
Lingering rarities still present included the Myrtle Warbler in Ayrshire, Long-billed Dowitchers in Norfolk, Orkney, and County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Bufflehead in Clyde, White-winged Scoter in County Kerry, Black Duck in County Mayo, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire and County Louth, Lesser Scaups in Essex (five), Pembrokeshire, Clyde, County Monaghan, and Lancashire (two). |
