| The highlight of the day was the discovery of an American Robin in Highland briefly in Caithness.
Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were Canvasback and Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Black-throated Thrush in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier between Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Suffolk, and East Yorkshire, and Lesser Scaups in Devon (5), Nottinghamshire, Pembrokeshire, Somerset, Western Isles, and County Waterford. |

| Lingering rarities still present today included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, single Pallid Harriers in Glamorgan and Norfolk, single Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire and Lesser Scaup in Pembrokeshire.
Significant late news from 5th December concerned a Slate-coloured Junco in a garden at Arklow, County Wicklow. |

New discoveries today comprised of a Lesser Scaup at Penberry Resr in Pembrokeshire, and a Cackling Goose at Dunfanaghy New Lake in County Donegal. Lingering rarities present included the Black-throated Thrush in East Yorkshire, three Red-breasted Geese, Canvasback in Essex Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Pembrokeshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in East Sussex, and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk. |
