| In Shetland, the warbler at Skibberhoull, Whalsay was trapped, and reidentified as the first Western Olivaceous Warbler for Britain. A Black-headed or Red-headed Bunting was at Flamborough Head, Yorkshire, along with the lingering Eastern Stonechat species.
A Radde's Warbler was at Ampthill, Bedfordshire, with other new discoveries including an Olive-backed Pipit at Welwick, Yorkshire, single Coues's Arctic Redpolls on Foula, Unst and Mainland Shetland, single Pallid Swifts at Foreness Point, Kent and West Runton, Norfolk, an Alpine Swift at Cley, Norfolk, a Baird's Sandpiper at South Slob, County Wexford and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Owenahincha, County Cork. Lingering rarities included the Yellow Warbler in Shetland, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike in Argyll, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll and Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Shetland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Derry. |

| An Eastern Olivaceous Warbler was discovered at Skibberhoull, Whalsay, Shetland this afternoon, and a Great Snipe was seen briefly at Gunton, Suffolk. Other new rarities today included a Pied Wheatear at Montrose, Angus, a Grey-cheeked Thrush on Inishbofin, County Galway, a Gull-billed Tern off Seasalter, Kent and a Coues's Arctic Redpoll at Houbie, Fetlar, Shetland.
Lingering rarities included the Yellow Warbler in Shetland, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike and Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Cork, Long-billed Dowitcher in Sussex, single Pallid Harriers in Dorset and Devon and Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire. Seawatching on the Scottish east coast and north-east England provided much of the news today. Around 128 Leach's Petrels were reported, including high counts of at least 70 off South Queensferry, Lothian and ten off Isle of May, Fife, 215 Storm Petrels, including 58 off Fisherrow, Lothian and 42 off Kinghorn and 27 off Isle of May, both Fife and 70 Grey Phalaropes, including 21 off South Queensferry, Lothian and ten at Newbiggin, Northumberlan, along with 48 Little Auks, two Sabine's Gulls, 23 Long-tailed Skuas, 53 Pomarine Skuas, whilst in Scilly at least 377 Cory's Shearwaters and 48 Great Shearwaters were recorded. Other scarcity totals included a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Barred Warbler, a Wryneck, two Richard's Pipits, two Northern Treecreepers, three Little Buntings, four Great Grey Shrikes, eight Lapland Buntings, 18 Yellow-browed Warblers, around 205 Waxwings, a Black-bellied Dipper, a Purple Heron, eight Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, three Ring-necked Ducks and two American Golden Plovers. |

Discoveries today included Wilson's Phalarope and Semipalmated Sandpiper together in County Cork at Ballycotton, a Pallid Harrier in Devon on Lundy, an Eastern Stonechat species in East Yorkshire at Flamborough Head, a Ferruginous Duck in County Donegal at Inch, and Olive-backed Pipits both in Cleveland at Hartlepool and on the Isle of May, Fife. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Lesser Grey Shrike and Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Pallid Harrier in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in East Sussex, and White-billed Diver in East Yorkshire. On the Isles of Scilly a Surf Scoter arrived on St Mary's where two Little Buntings, Rose-coloured Starling, Glossy Ibis, and Lapland Bunting were all seen, with around island totals of two Richard's Pipits, two Wrynecks, and six Yellow-browed Warblers. |

Discoveries today included the second Taiga Merlin for Ireland in County Clare at Bridges of Ross, on the Orkney Isles a White's Thrush on Papa Westray, a Red-flanked Bluetail on North Ronaldsay, and a Dusky Warbler on Westray, in Dorset a Pallid Harrier at Wyke Down, in East Yorkshire a White-billed Diver at Flamborough Head, a Radde's Warbler at Spurn, and a Red-flanked Bluetail at Easington, and in County Durham a Dusky Warbler at Whitburn. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Yellow Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike in Argyll, both a further Red-flanked Bluetail and a further Radde's Warbler in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Long-billed Dowitcher in East Sussex, and a Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire. On the Isles of Scilly four Little Buntings, a Red-breasted Flycatcher and a Lapland Bunting were located on St Mary's with around the islands Sabine's Gull, Pomarine Skua, four Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Balearic Shearwaters, 15 Cory's Shearwaters, and 40 Great Shearwaters. |

Discoveries today included in East Yorkshire at Radde's Warbler at Flamborough Head and a Red-flanked Bluetail at Kilnsea, a Black Kite in Somerset at Blean, and a Ferruginous Duck in Worcestershire at Clifton. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Yellow Warbler and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, the Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike in Argyll, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Semipalmated Sandpipers in both County Dublin and Lincolnshire, Long-billed Dowitchers in Norfolk and East Sussex, and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Donegal, Essex, and Lincolnshire. On the Isles of Scilly three Little Buntings were located on St Mary's with around the islands Red-backed Shrike, Lapland Bunting, Sabine's Gull, theee Yellow-browed Warblers, and four Cory's Shearwaters. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Short-toed Treecreeper in Kent at Dungeness, with a Long-billed Dowitcher new in East Sussex at Cuckmere Haven, a Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire at Anderby Creek, and two Baird's Sandpipers together in County Cork at Clonakilty. On the Isles of Scilly a Red-eyed Vireo was new on Bryher, with Radde's Warbler and Little Bunting on St Mary's, and Common Rosefinch, Red-backed Shrike, Wryneck, Lapland Bunting, Glossy Ibis, two Great Shearwaters, six Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 18 Cory's Shearwaters around the islands. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Yellow Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Northern Harrier and Squacco Heron in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kerry, Squacco Heron in Somerset, Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, two Blue-winged Teals together in East Yorkshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Dublin and Lincolnshire, and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Donegal, Essex, and Lincolnshire. |

| In Kent, a Solitary Sandpiper was photographed at Stodmarsh NNR, a Harlequin Duck was in Orkney flew past North Ronaldsay. On the Isle of Wight a Brown Booby was spotted off Chale, Richardson's Cackling Geese were found in both Lincolnshire, at East Halton Marshes and in the Western Isles, at Vallay Island. On Scilly an Olive-backed Pipit on St Agnes at the campsite, and Red-throated Pipits were seen in Sussex, one flew over Beachy Head, and in East Yorkshire, one flew over Paull. In Ireland a Semipalmated Sandpiper was seen in County Dublin at Sandymount, and a Lesser Yellowlegs in County Donegal at Inch Island Lake.
Lingering rarities included the Yellow Warbler, Eastern Stonechat species in Shetland, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike in Argyll, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs and Semipalmated Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Pallid Harrier in Kent, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Squacco Heron in Somerset and two Blue-winged Teals still in Yorkshire. |

| In Lincolnshire, a Baird's Sandpiper was at East Halton briefly, a Lesser Yellowlegs was in Cumbria at Grune Point. A Richardson's Cackling Goose was in County Sligo at Lissadell, and finally an Olive-backed Pipit in West Sussex at Cissbury Ring
Lingering rarities included the Yellow Warbler, Iberian Chiffchaff, Eastern Stonechat species in Shetland, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike and Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Arctic Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs and Semipalmated Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Pallid Harriers in Cornwall, Scilly, and Kent, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Squacco Heron in Somerset and two Blue-winged Teals still in Yorkshire. |

| In County Cork, a Cliff Swallow was at Ballycatten briefly, and an Iberian Chiffchaff was on Cape Clear. A Pallid Harrier was in Scilly, touring St Martin's, St Mary's and Tresco, with a Semipalmated Sandpiper at South Slob, County Wexford, a White-billed Diver off Sandsend, Yorkshire and an Olive-backed Pipit at Houbie, Fetlar, Shetland.
Lingering rarities included the Yellow Warbler, Turkestan Shrike, Eastern Stonechat species and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll in Shetland, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Lesser Grey Shrike and Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, Arctic Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Arctic Warbler in Scilly, Upland Sandpiper and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs and Semipalmated Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kerry, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Mayo, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Northern Harrier and Pallid Harrier in Cornwall, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Squacco Heron in Somerset and Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Yellow Warbler on the Shetland Isles at Hoswick, Mainland, a Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway on Inishbofin, a Cliff Swallow in County Wexford on Great Saltee Island, a Pallid Harrier in Cornwall at Carn Brea, and an Arctic Warbler in Norfolk inland at Burgh Castle. Rarities elsewhere included Upland Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher both still in County Cork, Northern Harrier still in Cornwall, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Squacco Heron in Somerset, Lesser Grey Shrike in Argyll, Red-breasted Goose and Arctic Warbler in Northumberland, Pallid Harrier, two Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls, and two Eastern Stonechat species on Shetland, Pallid Harrier in Kent, Semipalmated Sandpiper and Lesser Yellowlegs still together in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kerry, two Blue-winged Teals together in East Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher and Lesser Scaup together in County Wexford, White-rumped Sandpiper and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, and a Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk. On the Isles of Scilly a Red-throated Pipit was found on Tresco, both Rustic Bunting and Arctic Warbler remained on St Martin's, and scarcities there were Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Ortolan Bunting, Richard's Pipit, Barred Warbler, Red-backed Shrike, two of Rose-coloured Starling, Wryneck, and Dotterel, four Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Great Shearwaters, and 160 Cory's Shearwaters. |
