Scarcities included two each of Little Bunting, Ring-billed Gull, Taiga Bean Geese, Yellow-browed Warbler, at least three Green-winged Teal, five Ring-necked Ducks, six Glossy Ibises, 12 Shorelarks, and at least 136 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the Hooded Merganser still in County Mayo, an Eastern Yellow Wagtail again in Highland, Hume's Warblers in both Norfolk and Northumberland, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Dusky Warbler in Wiltshire, King Eider in Cleveland, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal, two Richardson's Cackling Geese in Argyll, and in Lincolnshire an Arctic Redpoll identified at Gibraltar Point. Scarcities included Surf Scoter (Western Isles), Dotterel (Kent), two each of Little Bunting, Ring-billed Gull, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and Yellow-browed Warbler, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Glossy Ibises, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 155 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the Hooded Merganser still in County Mayo, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferrugionus Ducks in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in Essex, two Penduline Tits together in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim. Scarcities included Little Bunting (London), Barred Warbler (County Mayo), Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), Surf Scoter (Moray), Dotterel (Kent), Black Brant (Dorset), Kumlien's Gull (Shetland Isles), two each of both American Wigeon and Yellow-browed Warbler, three Green-winged Teals, eight Glossy Ibises, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 108 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised Hume's Warblers still in Norfolk and Northumberland, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll at Kilmichael, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, and Dusky Warblers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (2). Scarcities included Serin (Scilly), Little Bunting (London), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Surf Scoter (Moray), Great Grey Shrike (Northumberland), Dotterel (Kent), Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Long-tailed Skua (East Yorkshire), two American Wigeons, three Black Brants, five each of both Ring-billed Gull and Yellow-browed Warbler, six Green-winged Teals, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, 15 Shorelarks, 20 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 158 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the White-throated Sparrow still in Cheshire, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Red-flanked Bluetails in both Lincolnshire and Isles of Scilly, Hume's Warblers in both Norfolk and Northumberland, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, and on the Western Isles both Dusky Warbler and Cackling Goose. Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (North Yorkshire), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Surf Scoter (Moray), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Lapland Bunting (Highland), Black Brant (Hampshire), Kumlien's Gull (Shetland Isles), two Little Buntings, three Green-winged Teals, four Yellow-browed Warblers, five Ring-necked Ducks, nine Glossy Ibises, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 58 Waxwings. |

The highlight of the day was confirmation of a White-throated Sparrow in Cheshire at Northwich where it had been reported on 25th November. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Isabelline Wheatear still in Gwynedd, both Pallid Harrier and Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper still in Essex, Hume's Warbler in Northumberland, Red-throated Pipit in Cornwall, Red-flanked Bluetail and two Dusky Warblers on the Isles of Scilly, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, and a Black Kite briefly in East Yorkshire. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Serin (Scilly), Richard's Pipit (Anglesey), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Green-winged Teal (Kent), two each of Little Bunting, Lapland Bunting, and Ring-necked Duck, seven of Yellow-browed Warbler and Glossy Ibis, 10 Shorelarks, and a total of 28 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, Isabelline Wheatear still in Gwynedd, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, both Pallid Harrier and Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Northumberland, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, Red-flanked Bluetail and Dusky Warbler (2) on the Isles of Scilly, King Eider in Cleveland, and Dusky Warbler and Cackling Goose on the Western Isles. Scarctities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), two each of Little Bunting, Lapland Bunting, Surf Scoter, and Sabine's Gull, three Glossy Ibises, four of Ring-necked Duck and Yellow-browed Warbler, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 194 Waxwings. In the Staffordshire the Hooded Merganser found yesterday proved to be a ringed escape. |

Discoveries today included a Hume's Warbler in Norfolk at Brancaster, a Hooded Merganser in Staffordshire at Dosthill, and now two Dusky Warblers together in Cornwall at Nanjizal. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, American Buff-bellied Pipit, Red-flanked Bluetail, and five Dusky Warblers on the Isles of Scilly, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim. Scarcities included Little Bunting (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Pembrokeshire), Common Rosefinch Highland), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Lapland Bunting (Cleveland), Kumlien's Gull (Shetland Isles), two each of Serin, Ring-necked Duck, and Green-winged Teal, three Shorelarks, six Glossy Ibises, seven Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 359 Waxwings. |

Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in County Durham at Sunderland, a Red-rumped Swallow in Norfolk at Sheringham, and now two Hume's Warblers together in Northumberland at Low Newton-by-the-Sea. Lingering rarities comprised the Myrtle Warbler, Red-flanked Bluetail, and Dusky Warbler all still on the Isles of Scilly, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, four Penduline Tits together in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and Bonaparte's Gulls in both County Antrim and Northumberland. Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Ring-billed Gull (County Down), Surf Scoter (Fife), American Wigeon (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (Kent), Sabine's Gull (Cornwall), two Great Grey Shrikes, four each of Serin, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Glossy Ibis, six Shorelarks, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 159 Waxwings. |

Rarities today comprised Myrtle Warbler, Red-flanked Bluetail, and four Dusky Warblers all on the Isles of Scilly, the Isabelline Wheatear still in Gwynedd, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both County Durham and Northumberland, Spotted Sandpiper in Essex, two Penduline Tits together in East Sussex, King Eider new in Cleveland, Bonaparte's Gulls still in County Antrim and Northumberland, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler, Sabine's Gull, and Long-tailed Skua (all together in Kent), Short-toed Lark (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), American Wigeon (Somerset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Long-tailed Skua (Kent), two Ring-billed Gulls, three each of Serin and Green-winged Teal, four of Great Grey Shrike and Shorelark, six of Great Shearwater and Ring-necked Duck, eight Glossy Ibises, nine Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 376 Waxwings. |
