News came out of a White-throated Needletail that had landed on a ship in the North Sea between Orkney and Fair Isle whilst on Unst, Shetland a male Moltoni’s Warbler was found at Norwick

New rarities included Eastern Subalpine Warbler on Shetland, Red-rumped Swallow on Fair Isle and a Red-footed Falcon in Aberdeenshire.

Other lingering rarities included the Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, King Eider in Lothian, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Merseyside, Little Bittern on Scilly, Red-footed Falcon in Kent, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, Great Reed Warbler in Nottinghamshire, Least Tern in County Dublin and Iberian Chiffchaff in London.

Saturday 4th June 2022  
  A Great Reed Warbler was found at Langford Lowfields in Nottinghamshire and a Little Bittern was on St.Mary's on the Isles of Scilly. The Calf of Man enjoyed a good morning with a Greensish Warbler trapped and ringed and a Black Kite over. Bee-eaters were seen briefly at Bockhill Farm in Kent and Ardvule on South Uist. Also in Scotland, a Lesser Yellowlegs was discovered at Frankfield Loch in Clyde and a new drake King Eider was in Olas Voe on Mainland Shetland.

The Least Tern was seen again at Portrane in County Dublin. In Kent, the Eleonora's Falcon was still present until mid morning but not seen subsequently and in Highland the Short-toed Eagle was also seen in the morning.

Other lingering rarities included the Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, King Eider in Lothian, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Merseyside, Red-footed Falcon in Kent, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk and Iberian Chiffchaff in London.

Scarcity highlights included Night Heron on Scilly, Purple Herons in Merseyside and Suffolk, Bluethroats in East Yorkshire and on Fair Isle, Woodchat Shrike still in North Yorkshire, Icterine Warblers in Cleveland and on Fair Isle and Golden Orioles on Scilly, Bardsey and Shetland.

Friday 3rd June 2022  
  The male Least Tern returned to the Portrane Little Tern colony in County Dublin for its third year.

Other new discoveries today included a Thrush Nightingale on Lundy, Devon, a Rustic Bunting at Nanjizal, Cornwall, two Black-winged Stilts at Stodmarsh, Kent and single Bee-eaters at Hickling, Norfolk, Portland, Dorset, Spurn, Yorkshire and both Barra and North Uist, Western Isles.

Lingering rarities still present included the Eleonora's Falcon and Red-footed Falcon in Kent, Short-toed Eagle in Highland, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Merseyside, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, King Eider in Lothian, Black Duck and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Woodchat Shrike, a Golden Oriole, a Common Rosefinch, a Marsh Warbler, two Rose-coloured Starlings, four Icterine Warblers, an American Golden Plover, a Red-necked Phalarope, two Purple Herons, two Ring-necked Ducks, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls and three Roseate Terns.

Thursday 2nd June 2022  
 

A Thrush Nightingale was found on Bardsey Island, Gwynedd, Eastern Subalpine Warbler was on Barra. Whilst there were two Red-footed Falcon reports with single birds in Norfolk and Suffolk and a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford.

The Eleonora's Falcon continued to delight its admirers at Worth in Kent, along with the female Red-footed Falcon, and the Short-toed Eagle was still to be found near Loch Grudie in Highland. The Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Roller in Cornwall, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Merseyside, King Eider in Lothian, and American Black Tern in Northumberland

Wednesday 1st June 2022  
  The White-tailed Lapwing tour continued, with it moving to Sandwell Valley in the West Midlands. A Gull-billed Tern was at Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset at various times in the day, a Kentish Plover was found at Kenfig in Glamorgan, a White-billed Diver was at Lothbeg Point in Highland and a Bee-eater flew over over Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire.

The Eleonora's Falcon continued to delight its admirers at Worth in Kent, along with the female Red-footed Falcon, and the Short-toed Eagle was still to be found near Loch Grudie in Highland.

The White-tailed Lapwing relocated to Woolston Eyes, Cheshire as it’s tour of the UK continues, Great Reed Warbler was found at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire and a Bee-eater at Flamborough Head, East Yorkshire

Monday 30th May 2022  
  New discoveries today included a Gull-billed Tern at Tacumshin, County Wexford, a Rustic Bunting at Norwick, Unst, Shetland, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Clonakilty, County Cork, a Black Kite over Brading, Isle of Wight and Bee-eaters at Hayburn Wyke, Yorkshire, Boscregan, Cornwall (four) and on St Mary's, Scilly (four).

Lingering rarities still present included the Eleonora's Falcon, Red-footed Falcon and Sardinian Warbler in Kent, White-tailed Lapwing in Greater Manchester, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Roller in Cornwall, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Subalpine Warbler species in Shetland, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Lesser Scaup in Merseyside, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, King Eider in Lothian, and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Common Rosefinch, a Hoopoe, a Lapland Bunting, two Golden Orioles, three Serins, a Dotterel, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Purple Heron, a Green-winged Teal, two Ring-necked Ducks, an American Golden Plover, two Pectoral Sandpipers, a Ring-billed Gull, a Long-tailed Skua and two Pomarine Skuas.

Sunday 29th May 2022  
  The Eleonora's Falcon remained at Worth, Kent, whilst the roaming White-tailed Lapwing relocated to Bickershaw Country Park in Greater Manchester.

New discoveries today included a Gull-billed Tern at Radipole Lake RSPB, Dorset, a Black Stork over Newhaven, East Sussex, three Black-winged Stilts at Chew Valley Lake, Somerset, a Lesser Scaup at Marshside RSPB, Merseyside, single Black Kites over both Skewjack and Marazion, Cornwall and Martin Down, Hampshire, four Bee-eaters over Trentishoe, Devon, a Red-footed Falcon over Nanjizal, Cornwall and a White-billed Diver on Loch Ryan, Dumfries and Galloway.

Other lingering rarities still present included the Moltoni's Warbler in Pembrokeshire, Sardinian Warbler and Red-footed Falcon in Kent, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Roller in Cornwall, Squacco Heron in County Cork, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, an Icterine Warbler, a Woodchat Shrike, two Common Rosefinches, five Golden Orioles, a Montagu's Harrier, four Honey Buzzards, an American Golden Plover, a Dotterel, a Temminck's Stint, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Ring-necked Ducks, two Purple Herons, 16 Glossy Ibises, a Pomarine Skua, four Long-tailed Skuas, a Ring-billed Gull, three Iceland Gulls and four Glaucous Gulls.

In the Highlands the Short-toed Eagle made a reappearance near Loch Grudie.

In Kent, a male Sardinian Warbler was found singing at South Foreland. In Norfolk at Norwich Airport a male Lesser Grey Shrike was found whilst a Little Bittern was at Ham Wall, Somerset

The Eleonora's Falcon continued to show well throughout the day at Worth Marsh with a fem Red-footed Falcon in the vicinity.

Other lingering rarities seen today included the Moltoni's Warbler in Pembrokeshire, Roller in Cornwall, Black-headed Bunting in Scilly, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Subalpine Warbler species on Foula, Shetland, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Friday 27th May 2022  
  In Kent, the Eleonora's Falcon returned to Worth mid morning, where it remained until dusk. This is the first twitchable bird in Britain, following seven previous records. The Little Swift in London was also seen again, over Eltham late morning.

New discoveries today included a Squacco Heron at Clonakilty, County Cork, a Spotted Sandpiper in County Kildare, a Subalpine Warbler species on Foula, Shetland, a Black Kite over Romsey and two Red-footed Falcons at Beaulieu Road Station, both Hampshire (with two of the latter also at Worth, Kent), three Bee-eaters over Angmering, Sussex, a Red-rumped Swallow over Kilnsea, Yorkshire and a White-billed Diver in Shetland.

Other lingering rarities seen today included the Moltoni's Warbler in Pembrokeshire, Roller in Cornwall, Black-headed Bunting in Scilly, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Subalpine Warbler species on Out Skerries, Shetland, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Alpine Swift in Dorset, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Caspian Tern in Kent and American Black Tern in Northumberland.
