There were at least another 3 Red-rumped Swallows reported with 2 birds in Aberdeenshire plus a third in Cleveland, along with a 1w.drk King Eider in Cleveland too. A Ferruginous Duck was found in Cheshire at Woolston Eyes, the wandering Black-winged Stilt showed up at Welney WWT, Norfolk and a Kentish Plover was found in Gwent. Other lingering rarities included the Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Aberdeenshire, Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire and Black Kite records from Dorset and East Yorkshire. Scarcity highlights included 6 Wrynecks, Hoopoe, an American Wigeon, 3 Ring-necked Ducks, a Honey Buzzard, 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, 6 Dotterel, 2 Purple Herons, 24 Glossy Ibises, 19 Pomarine Skuas, 2 Glaucous Gulls and an Iceland Gull |
