New rarities of the day included a male White-spotted Bluethroat trapped and ringed at Charleston, East Sussex this morning, a female Lesser Scaup was found in County Cork at Lough Clubir and a White-billed Diver off a pier in Papa Westray, Orkney. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today comprised the White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Blue-winged Teals in Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire, Dusky Warblers in London and Norfolk, Black-browed Albatross in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, White-winged Scoter in Lothian and King Eider in Highlands. Scarities included Spotted Crake, Temminck's Stint, Yellow-browed Warbler, Great Grey Shrike, 4 Green-winged Teal, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Iceland Gulls, 8 Glaucous Gulls and 25 Glossy Ibises. |
