New rarities today included a White-billed Diver off Cullen, Moray and a reported Black Kite in Devon flew north of Galmpton. Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and County Wexford, Dusky Warbler in London, Pacific Diver County Cork, King Eider in Lothian, Hume’s Warblers in Kent and East Sussex and 2 Lesser Scaups in Clyde. Scarcity highlights included 3 Great Grey Shrikes, 3 Waxwings, 7 Shorelarks, 3 Lapland Buntings , 36 Glossy Ibises, 2 Green-winged Teals, 3 Surf Scoters, 21 Ring-necked Ducks, 5 Glaucous Gulls, 4 Ring-billed Gulls and 14 Iceland Gulls |
