New rarities included White-billed Diver in South Nesting Bay on mainland Shetland, Arctic Redpoll in County Clare at Moveen, Snowy Owl on Westray, Orkney and a Hume’s Warbler in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Lingering rarities still present included the Baikal Teal in Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, American Coot in County Kerry, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, two Lesser Scaups in Dorset and Western Isles plus Dusky Warbler in Kent. Scarcities included a Pallas's Warbler, Richard’s Pipit, 5 Waxwings, 13 Shorelarks, 59 Little Auks, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, 3 Green-winged Teals, 2 Grey Phalaropes, 5 Lapland Buntings, 46 Glossy Ibises, 5 Surf Scoters, 6 Snow Geese, 16 Iceland Gulls, 10 Glaucous Gulls, 2 Great Grey Shrikes, 2 Little Buntings and 5 Ring-billed Gulls. |
