An adult Franklin's Gull made a brief appearance at North Duffield Carrs in North Yorkshire. Dusky Warblers were new at Aldreth in Cambridgeshire and Exwick in Devon. Still present were the Belted Kingfisher in Co.Cork, Bufflehead in Co.Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in Suffolk and Somerset, King Eider in Pembrokeshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in North Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, and four Penduline Tits in Somerset. Dusky Warblers remained in Cornwall, Kent (two) and Merseyside. Other news included two Ring-billed Gulls, two Little Buntings, two Richard's Pipits, two Rose-coloured Starlings, five Great Grey Shrikes, 14 Waxwings, two Surf Scoters (both Lothian), Green-winged Teal (Dorset), American Wigeon (Orkney), six Ring-necked Ducks, two Black Brant, Todd's Canada Goose (Northumberland) and 10 Glossy Ibises. |
