| Rarities today comprised the Cayenne Tern still in County Wexford albeit elusive, a
Greenish Warbler new in Fife on the Isle of May, Gull-billed Tern and Black-winged Stilt still together in Kent, territorial
Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire,
King Eider in Moray, and single Red-footed Falcons seen briefly in both Hertfordshire and Norfolk. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (Orkney Isles), Icterine Warbler (Shetland Isles), Serin (Dorset), Night Heron (Herefordshire), Red-necked Phalarope and American Wigeon (together in Northumberland), and six Rose-coloured Starlings bringing the total of the current influx to 182. |

| Wednesday 24th June 2020 | ||
|
||
| The highlights of the day were the discovery of a White-throated Sparrow in Ceredigion at Cwrtnewydd,
whilst in Kent a Western Bonelli's Warbler was in song at Reculver albeit briefly. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Cayenne Tern still in County Wexford, Gull-billed Terns in both County Cork and Kent, King Eider in Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire, territorial Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, and Black-winged Stilt in Kent. Scarcities included Barred Warbler and Marsh Warbler (Shetland Isles), Golden Oriole (Bedfordshire), Red-backed Shrike (Gloucestershire), Serin (Dorset), and Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), whilst eight Rose-coloured Starlings bringing the total for the summer to 177. |

| Tuesday 23rd June 2020 | ||

||
| New rarities today comprised a Gull-billed Tern in Kent at Dungeness with a
Red-footed Falcon at nearby Walland Marsh, Greenish Warblers arrived on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly and in Pembrokeshire on Skokholm, a
Subalpine Warbler species was seen in Kent at Hope Point, and two Wilson's Petrels
were at sea off County Cork. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Cayenne Tern in County Wexford, Gull-billed Tern in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilt in Kent, territorial Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, and the King Eider returned to Moray. Scarcities included Serin (Dorset), Bluethroat and Red-backed Shrike (both on the Shetland Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Ring-necked Duck (County Londonderry), two each of both Marsh Warbler and Common Rosefinch, and 12 Rose-coloured Starlings bringing the total across Britain and Ireland since 28th May to 176. |

| Sunday 21st June 2020 | ||

| In County Wexford, the identity of the tern present at Lady's Island Lake since 12th June was confirmed as a Cayenne Tern, the euryganthus form of Cabot's Tern. There is a single accepted record of Cabot's Tern in Britain, a dead bird found in Herefordshire in 1984 which had been ringed in North Carolina.
New discoveries today included a Gull-billed Tern at Ballycotton, County Cork, a Great Reed Warbler at Asta, Shetland, a Black-winged Stilt at Dungeness, Kent and a Bee-eater over Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Lingering rarities included the Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire and Red-footed Falcon in Somerset. Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Marsh Warbler, nine Rose-coloured Starlings, a Night Heron, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Balearic Shearwater, two Pomarine Skuas, a Ring-billed Gull, a Glossy Ibis and two Honey Buzzards. |

| New discoveries today included a Black Stork over Aveton Gifford, Devon, a Bonaparte's Gull at Ardvule, Western Isles and two Red-footed Falcons at Wells, Norfolk.
Lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Lothian, Citrine Wagtail in Shetland, Red-rumped Swallow in Scilly, Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Savi's Warbler in Norfolk, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Red-footed Falcons in Yorkshire and Somerset and Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire. Scarcity highlights included a Golden Oriole, four Marsh Warblers, eight Rose-coloured Starlings, an American Wigeon, three Honey Buzzards, three Roseate Terns, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Glaucous Gull, nine Pomarine Skuas and five Balearic Shearwaters. |

||
| New discoveries today included a Blyth's Reed Warbler at Flamborough Head, Yorkshire and single Red-footed Falcons at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire and at Cothelstone Hill, Somerset.
The Asian Desert Warbler remained in Northumberland, but wasn't seen in the evening. Other lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Lothian, Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire, Savi's Warbler in Norfolk, Red-rumped Swallow in Scilly, Caspian Tern in Norfolk and Lesser Yellowlegs and Red-footed Falcon in Yorkshire. Scarcity highlights included a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Golden Oriole, a Red-backed Shrike, a Common Rosefinch, two Marsh Warblers, seven Rose-coloured Starlings, two Honey Buzzards, two Glossy Ibises, a Red-necked Phalarope, an American Wigeon, a Ring-billed Gull, an Iceland Gull and two Glaucous Gulls. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Paddyfield Warbler on the Shetland Isles at Pool of Virkie, whilst the
Rustic Bunting remained on nearby Foula. Other rarities today were the continuing
Asian Desert Warbler in Northumberland, Lesser Grey Shrike still in Lothian,
territorial Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire,
Savi's Warblers singing in both Norfolk and Shetland, and Red-footed Falcons in North Yorkshire and Suffolk. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (Shetland), Hoopoe (Shropshire), Red-necked Phalarope and American Wigeon (together in Northumberland), Ring-billed Gull (Shetland Isles), Glossy Ibis (Worcestershire), two each of both Red-breasted Flycatcher and Golden Oriole, six Marsh Warblers, and a total of 10 Rose-coloured Starlings. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Moltoni's Subalpine Warbler on the Shetland Isles
in Lerwick, with a Rustic Bunting new-in on Foula. Elsewhere, a Lesser Grey Shrike was found in Lothian at Halfland, a
Black Kite was seen briefly in Kent, and a Bee-eater flew over in East Yorkshire. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Asian Desert Warbler still in Northumberland, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Subalpine Warbler species on Shetland, Savi's Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Lesser Scaup on the Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire, Blyth's Reed Warblers in both Lincolnshire and Shetland, and Red-footed Falcons in North Yorkshire and Suffolk (2). Scarcities included Serin (Aberdeenshire), Hoopoe (Cumbria), Common Rosefinch (Shetland), Waxwing (Shetland), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Glossy Ibis (Worcestershire), five Marsh Warblers, and a total of nine Rose-coloured Starlings. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Green Warbler on Fair Isle; the second record for the island,
the second to be found in Britain this month, and the eighth British record all told of which half have occurred on the Shetland Isles in the last seven years. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Asian Desert Warber still in Northumberland on Holy Island where an Alpine Swift flew through, a Bonaparte's Gull new in Surrey at Walton-on-Thames, both Caspian Tern and Savi's Warbler still in Norfolk, Subalpine Warbler species on the Shetland Isles, Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Lesser Yellowlegs North Yorkshire, Red-footed Falcons in North Yorkshire, Suffolk and West Sussex, and Blyth's Reed Warblers in each of Aberdeenshire, East Sussex, Lincolnshire and the Shetland Isles. Scarcities included Serin (Aberdeenshire), Icterine Warbler (Fife), Hoopoe (Cumbria), Purple Heron (Isles of Scilly), Waxwing (Shetland), Glossy Ibis (Worcestershire), Dotterel (West Sussex), Red-necked Phalarope and American Wigeon (together in Northumberland), two Common Rosefinches, eight Marsh Warblers, and a total of 12 Rose-coloured Starlings. |
