Rarities today comprised the Eastern Yellow Wagtails still in Norfolk and Northumberland, Black-throated Thrush in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Pacific Diver in Co.Cork, West Siberian Stonechat in Cheshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire, Black Duck in Highland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Ferruginous Duck in Essex and Lesser Scaup in both Cornwall and Dumfries and Galloway. A White-billed Diver was in Western Isles. Other news included Hoopoe (Hampshire), Great Grey Shrike (Gloucestershire), two Rough-legged Buzzards, Shorelark (Suffolk), two Snow Geese, American Wigeon (Co.Derry), three Green-winged Teal, five Ring-necked Ducks, two Surf Scoters and three Ring-billed Gulls. |
