| New discoveries today included a Subalpine Warbler on Tory Island, County Donegal, a Red-footed Falcon at Landguard, Suffolk and a Lesser Yellowlegs at Lodmoor, Dorset, with another present on Tresco, Isles of Scilly for its fourth day.
Lingering rarities included the Eastern Black-eared Wheatear in Lancashire, Isabelline Wheatear in Gwynedd, Western Bonelli's Warbler and Subalpine Warbler in Western Isles, Wilson's Phalarope and Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Pembrokeshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Dorset, White-rumped Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilt in Berkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Scarcity highlights included an Ortolan Bunting, a Bluethroat, a Wryneck, a Common Rosefinch, a Woodchat Shrike, four Red-backed Shrikes, three Barred Warblers, 19 Lapland Buntings, two Spotted Crakes, a Montagu's Harrier, two Honey Buzzards, a Snow Goose, a Red-necked Phalarope, four American Golden Plovers, four Pectoral Sandpipers, four Buff-breasted Sandpipers, five Sabine's Gulls, five Leach's Petrels, a Long-tailed Skua and five Pomarine Skuas. |
