| New discoveries comprised White-rumped Sandpipers (Dumfries
& Galloway and Lothian), three Two-barred Crossbills (Shetland)
and Lesser Yellowlegs (Co Cork), whilst Squacco Heron
(West Sussex), Blue-winged Teal (Clyde), White-rumped
Sandpipers (Lincolnshire [2] and East Yorkshire), King Eider
(Highland), Forster's Tern (Co Louth),
Ferruginous Duck (East Sussex) and Long-billed Dowitcher
(Lincolnshire) all lingered. The best of the rest included Night Heron (Gloucestershire), Pectoral Sandpiper (Norfolk), a family of Marsh Warblers (East Yorkshire), Glossy Ibis (Gwent) and Melodious Warbler (Cornwall). |
