| Lingering rarities seen today included the Desert Wheatear on St Agnes, Scilly, Penduline Tit in Weymouth, Dorset, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Wells, Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher at Frampton, Lincolnshire and Ferruginous Duck at Bedhampton, Hampshire.
Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, 32 Shorelarks, approximately 635 Waxwings, a White-tailed Eagle, two Glossy Ibises, a White Stork, a Temminck's Stint, an American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, six Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, seven Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Taiga Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, three Glaucous Gulls, four Iceland Gulls and a Pomarine Skua. |
