| Rarities discovered today comprised a Dusky Warbler in Cornwall at Polgigga, single
White-billed Divers in Moray at Burghead and in the Western Isles on Barra, and in Aberdeenshire the
King Eider returned to the Ythan Estuary. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, both Red-flanked Bluetail and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, King Eider in County Kerry, and single Bonaparte's Gulls in both Cornwall and Devon. Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Hoopoe (Pembrokeshire), Surf Scoter (Shetland Isles), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), Glossy Ibis (Leicestershire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, American Wigeon, Lesser Snow Goose and Lapland Bunting, three Ring-billed Gulls, four Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Shorelarks, and a total of 29 Cattle Egrets. |
