  Lingering rarities still present today included the Killdeer in Shetland, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and single Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire and County Durham.

The best of the rest were a Black-bellied Dipper, a Richard's Pipit, a Ring-billed Gull, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Golden Plover, a Surf Scoter, a Ring-necked Duck, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals and three Great Grey Shrikes.

Thursday 24th November 2016  
  Lingering rarities included Killdeer (Shetland), American Coot (Western Isles), Long-billed Dowitcher (Kent), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Desert Wheatear (Devon), Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire), Eastern Black Redstart (Cleveland), Hudsonian Whimbrel (Cornwall) and in Co Durham the Ferrugnious Duck reappeared at Washington WWT.

Wednesday 23rd November 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Killdeer on Shetland at Sandwick, whilst a Dusky Warbler was new in Norfolk at Holme, and an Azorean Yellow-legged Gull was identified at Wembury Point, Devon.

Lingering rarities comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dusky Warbler both still in Cornwall, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, and the Hooded Merganser returned to Lochwinnoch, Clyde.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (East Sussex), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), three Ring-necked Ducks, five American Wigeon, 10 Cattle Egrets, 11 Lapland Buntings and 42 Shorelarks.

Tuesday 22nd November 2016  
  Lingering rarities comprised Desert Wheatears in Devon and Lancashire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, whlilst the Forster's Tern was again reported off Felixstowe (Suffolk) briefly during the morning.

The best of the rest included Little Bunting (Shetland), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), Todd's Canada Goose (Norfolk), Lesser Snow Goose (Dumfries & Galloway), Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire) and a report of a Red-breasted Flycatcher in Co Cork.

Monday 21st November 2016  
  In Suffolk the Forster's Tern was relocated at Felixstowe Ferry late in the afternoon. Elsewhere Desert Wheatears (Lancashire and Devon), Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire), White-billed Diver (Shetland), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset) and American Coot (Western Isles) were all recorded.

The best of the rest included Glossy Ibis (Cambridgeshire), Todd's Canada Goose (Norfolk), two American Wigeons and 11 Cattle Egrets.

Sunday 20th November 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the continued present of the Forster's Tern in Essex at Mistley, whilst the Pacific Diver remained in County Galway, Desert Wheatears in both Devon and Lancashire, Arctic Redpoll on the Orkney Isles, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Semipalmated Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher together in County Wexford, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (East Yorkshire), Richard's Pipit (Somerset), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), American Golden Plover (County Kerry), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), three Ring-necked Ducks, five American Wigeons, 20 Cattle Egrets and 29 Shorelarks.

Saturday 19th November 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Forster's Tern in Essex. It was as long ago as 2003 when a Forster's Tern was last available in Britain, although the species has been almost ever-present in Ireland over the past thirteen years.

Elsewhere new discoveries included Pacific Diver in Co Galway, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Co Wexford, Desert Wheatear in Lancashire, White-billed Diver in Norfolk, Arctic Redpoll in Orkney and Red-throated Pipit in Somerset, whilst the Hooded Merganser (Ayrshire), Eastern Black Redstart (Cleveland), Lesser Scaup (Co Galway), Richardson's Cackling Goose (Co Sligo), Long-billed Dowitcher (Co Wexford), Dalmatian Pelican and Hudsonian Whimbrel (Cornwall), Bonaparte's Gull and Desert Wheatear (Devon), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset), Pallid Harrier (East Yorkshire) and four White-billed Divers (Orkney) all lingered.

Friday 18th November 2016  
  A male Siberian Rubythroat was found on Fair Isle, Shetland today, the latest ever record for Britain and the first to be found outside the month of October. Nearby, a Snowy Owl was reported from Westray, Orkney.

Lingering rarities included the Killdeer and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll in Shetland, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Black-bellied Dipper in Suffolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Thursday 17th November 2016  
  Lingering rarities seen today included the Western Rufous Turtle Dove, Killdeer and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll in Shetland, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Pallid Harrier in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, White-billed Diver in Orkney and Bonaparte's Gull in Devon.

Scarcity highlights included a Todd's Canada Goose, a Glaucous Gull, two Iceland Gulls, two Little Auks, two Ring-necked Ducks, two Green-winged Teals, three Pomarine Skuas, four American Wigeon, four Cattle Egrets and six Great Grey Shrikes.

Wednesday 16th November 2016  
  Rarities today comprised both the Killdeer and Western Rufous Turtle Dove still on the Shetland Isles, the American Coot on the Western Isles, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, both Desert Wheatear and Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Black-bellied Dipper still in Suffolk, and in East Yorkshire the Pallid Harrier retrurned to Welwick.

Scarcities included Little Bunting (Norfolk), Richard's Pipit (East Yorkshire), Surf Scoter (Lothian), American Wigeon (Angus), Glossy Ibis (Essex), Ring-necked Duck (Kent and Perthshire), and a total of 24 Cattle Egrets.
