| Rarity sightings included the Little Bittern in South Yorkshire,
White-rumped Sandpiper in East Yorkshire, Greater Yellowlegs in
Hampshire, Hudsonian Whimbrel in West Sussex and Bonaparte's Gull
in Kent, whilst a Bee-eater was heard over Christchurch Harbour (Dorset).
The best of the rest included White-winged Black Tern (Lincolnshire), American Wigeon (South Yorkshire), Melodious Warbler (West Midlands) and two Great Shearwaters (Co Cork). |
