| Highlight of the day was the discovery of a Little Bustard at West
Bexington (Dorset), but there was no further sign after the early morning
sighting.
In Pembrokeshire a probable Blyth's Pipit was at St David's Head and two Penduline Tits were reported in Norfolk, whilst Grey-cheeked Thrush (Shetland), American Coot (Western Isles and Co Kerry), Desert Wheatear (Angus), Franklin's Gull (Hampshire), Siberian Stonechat (Co Durham), Ferruginous Duck (Bedfordshire) and Dusky Warblers (Suffolk [2] and Cornwall) all lingered. The best of the rest included Serin (Cornwall), Glossy Ibis (Lincolnshire), two Hoopoes, two Purple Herons, three Cattle Egrets, three Richard's Pipits, at least seven Yellow-browed Warblers and at least nine Rough-legged Buzzards. |
