I spotted this beauty while getting on the ferry and going on a trip round the Mersey. At the first when i didn't know what it was i just thought that it was a little gull, but then i took a closer look at a photo that i took and i couldn't beleave it ,a Grey Phalarope, in the Mersey? could it be true? the bird then flew off heading towards New Brighton but then when the ferry started going the bird then started to fly back up the Mersey and started to feed in the wash behind the boat, but then the took off again and would just fly up and the Mersey stopping every now and again to feed. I then lost track of the bird when it flew behind the boat and into the sun. |
