| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Lesser Crested Tern in Devon on the Exe Estuary where it showed until dusk; this is the record of this species in Britain in 20 years.
Elsewhere, rarities comprised Siberian Rubythroat and King Eider both still in Shetland, two Northern Harriers together in County Wexford, Baikal Teal and Desert Wheatear still in Dorset, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, and Lesser Scaups in Cornwall (2), Essex, Surrey, and the Western Isles. |

| A Black Scoter was found at Rascarrel in Dumfries and Galloway today.
Lingering rarities included the Siberian Rubythroat in Shetland, Desert Wheatear in Dorset, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Norfolk (two), Killdeer in County Wexford, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs and Pacific Diver in Cornwall and Lesser Scaups in Leicestershire and County Antrim. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Siberian Rubythroat in Shetland at Scousburgh, Mainland, Shetland. Elsewhere in Britain the Pacific Diver returned to Mousehole, Cornwall.
In Ireland the Harlequin Duck and two Richardson's Cackling Geese remained in County Donegal, as did the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, two Northern Harriers were still together in County Wexford, Pacific Diver, Black Duck, Cackling Goose, and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull all in County Mayo, Semipalmated Sandpiper still in County Clare, and Lesser Yellowlegs still in County Antrim. |

| New rarities today were a Dusky Warbler at Seaton, Kent; and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Titchwell, Norfolk.
Continuing rarities included a Baikal Teal in Dorset; Desert Wheatear in Dorset; Dusky Warblers in Kent and Scilly; Harlequin Duck in County Donegal; Hume's Warblers in Kent and Norfolk; Kentish Plover in Somerset; Killdeer in County Wexford; King Eider in Shetland; Lesser Scaups in Cornwall, County Antrim, Essex, Leicestershire, and Surrey; Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and County Antrim; two Northern Harriers in County Wexford; Red-breasted Goose in Essex; Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare; and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford. |

| The new rarity today was an Arctic Redpoll in Nybster, Highland.
Continuing rarities included a Desert Wheatear in Dorset; Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim; Dusky Warblers in Cornwall, Kent, and Scilly; Hume's Warbler in Norfolk; Kentish Plover in Somerset; Killdeer in County Wexford; King Eider in Shetland; Lesser Scaup in Leicestershire; Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim; Northern Harrier in County Wexford; Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan; Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo; Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare; and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford. |

| Friday 28th November 2025 | ||

| In Cornwall a Black-browed Albatross was seen off St Ives Island this morning then flew west. Yesterdays Killdeer at South Slob, County Wexford was seen in the morning but not subsequently and a White-rumped Sandpiper was also found there. The only other new rarity found today was a Dusky Warbler at Sandwich Bay in Kent.
Lingering rarities included Desert Wheatear in Dorset, Eastern Black Redstart in Yorkshire, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, King Eider in Shetland, Lesser Scaup in Surrey, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, with the long-staying Black-faced Bunting still on Fair Isle, Shetland and at least one Zitting Cisticola still to be found in Suffolk. Finally there were three Hume's Warblers in north Norfolk and Dusky Warblers in Norfolk and Cornwall. |

| The mega highlight was a Killdeer at South Slob, County Wexford.
New rarities consisted of an Eastern Black Redstart at Scarborough, North Yorkshire; and Red-breasted Goose at Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. Continuing rarities included Desert Wheatear in Dorset; Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim; Hume's Warblers in Bedfordshire and Norfolk; Kentish Plover in Somerset; King Eider in Shetland; Lesser Scaups in Essex and Western Isles; and Penduline Tit in Somerset. |
