| The mega highlight of the day was a White-throated Needletail at Helmsdale, Highland, with other major rarities including Lanceolated Warbler at Nanjizal Valley, Cornwall, Baikal Teal at Abbotsbury Swannery, Dorset, White-winged Scoter in Angus, and multiple Black Scoter reports along the east coast.
New rarities included Dusky Warbler at Walsey Hills, Norfolk, Radde's Warbler at multiple sites (Warham Greens, Norfolk; Brownstown Head, County Waterford; Sheepcote Valley, East Sussex; and Cape Clear, County Cork), White-rumped Sandpipers at multiple sites (four at Lough Swilly, County Donegal; singles at Tacumshin, County Wexford; and Seafield, County Clare), Ferruginous Duck at Ouse Fen, Cambridgeshire, and Red-rumped Swallow at Graveney Marshes, Kent. | A Veery was found in Argyll on Islay at Ellister, and the White-throated Needletail was seen at Brora, Highland briefly early evening.
Other discoveries included a Red-flanked Bluetail on Holy Island, Northumberland, an Arctic Warbler on Inishbofin, County Galway, single Radde's Warblers at Reculver, Kent and Warham, Norfolk, a Rustic Bunting on the Isle of May, Fife, a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Black Rock and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Carrahane, both County Kerry, further White-rumped Sandpipers at Lough Swilly, County Donegal and on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, a Richardson's Cackling Goose on Islay, Argyll and a Laughing Gull at Rosscarbery, County Cork. | Excitement today consisted of four Bonaparte's Gulls in Highland at Dunnet Bay, plus nine White-rumped Sandpipers at Rosslare Back Strand, Co.Wexford, three at Myroe Levels, Co.Derry, and singles at Breydon Water, Norfolk, St.Agnes, Scilly, and Scotney GPs, E.Sussex.
New rarities included a Western Bonelli's Warbler at Mizen Head, Co.Cork, and Siberian Stonechat at Walshaw Dean Reservoirs, W.Yorks. | Near record breaking numbers of White-rumped Sandpipers were seen today - an incredible eight birds at Belvide Reservoir, Staffordshire, with another seven at Rosslare Back Strand, Co.Wexford, plus two at Myroe Levels, Co.Derry.
New rarities included Tawny Pipit at Cape Clear, Co.Cork, Radde's Warbler on Bardsey Island, Gwynedd, Rustic Bunting on St.Agnes, Scilly, Rustic Buntings at Hoswick and Sandwick, Mainland Shetland, Red-eyed Vireo on Arranmore Island, Co.Donegal, Bonaparte's Gull at Ballyconneely, Co.Galway, Laughing Gull at Trabeg, Co.Kerry, and Lesser Scaup at Portmore Lough, Co.Antrim. | Again the highlight of the day was White-throated Needletail which showed well in North Yorkshire at Scarborough late morning and was later over Long Nab in the mid afternoon.
In the Isles of Scilly the Mourning Dove, American Pipit, and Spotted Sandpiper all remained on St Agnes and were joined by an Arctic Warbler, whilst in Shetland Siberian Thrush, Blackpoll Warbler, Western Subalpine Warbler, and Blue-winged Teal all continued. Elsewhere in Britain a Black-headed Bunting was new in Orkney on North Ronaldsay, and a Dusky Warbler arrived in Devon on Lundy, whilst the Turkestan Shrike remained in Suffolk, as did the Brown Shrike in Pembrokeshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Baird's Sandpipers in Leicestershire and the Western Isles, White-rumped Sandpiper in Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, Red-footed Falcon in Norfolk, Ross's Goose in North Merseyside, and Lesser Scaup in North Yorkshire. In Ireland two Harlequin Ducks and the Grey-cheeked Thrush remained in County Donegal, Northern Parula, Western Bonelli's Warbler, and Red-throated Pipit all in County Cork, American Pipits in both County Clare and County Galway, Isabelline Wheatear in County Waterford, Baird's Sandpiper and Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo, and in County Wexford between Rosslare and Tacumshin two Northern Harriers, Lesser Yellowlegs, Long-billed Dowitcher, two Semipalmated Sandpipers, and six White-rumped Sandpipers. |

| The mega highlights of the day were two Harlequin Ducks at Maheroarty, Co.Donegal, and further sightings of a White-throated Needletail at Filey, N.Yorks, and at Loch of Skene, Aberdeenshire.
New rarities included Brown Shrike at Halfways near St.David's, Pembrokeshire, Red-eyed Vireos (at least three) on Tory Island, Co.Donegal, Rustic Bunting at Cape Clear, Co.Cork, White-rumped Sandpipers at North Ronaldsay, Orkney and Loch Ordais, Lewis, Semipalmated Sandpiper at Snettisham, Norfolk, Coues's Redpoll at Fetlar, Shetland, Northern Harrier at Tacumshin, Co.Wexford, and American Pipit at Inishmore, Co.Galway. | In Ireland, a Northern Parula was in County Cork at Firkeel, a Blackpoll Warbler and a Grey-cheeked Thrush were in County Donegal on Arranmore Island and Tory Island respectively, an American Pipit was in County Waterford at Rathmoylan, a Lesser Yellowlegs was in County Wexford at Cahore and a White-rumped Sandpiper was at Inny Strand, County Kerry. Elsewhere, a Red-throated Pipit was at Aberaeron, Ceredigion, a Pallid Harrier was at Reculver, Kent, a Lesser Scaup was at Gouthwaite Reservoir, Yorkshire and further White-rumped Sandpipers were in Cornwall, Argyll and Western Isles (two).
Lingering rarities included the Siberian Thrush and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal, American Pipits in Scilly and County Clare, Isabelline Wheatear in County Waterford, two Zitting Cisticolas and Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Ross's Goose in Merseyside, Wilson's Phalarope and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian and Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Lincolnshire and County Louth. |

| In Ireland an Isabelline Wheatear was found at Ballinclamper in County Waterford and an American Pipit was found at Clahane Strand in County Clare. Elsewhere in Ireland new rarities were all waders, with Baird's and White-rumped Sandpipers at Lough Leam in County Mayo, a Baird's Sandpiper at Kinsalebeg in County Waterford and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Inishmore in County Galway.
On Shetland new rarities comprised a Lanceolated Warbler at Feal on Fetlar, a Rustic Bunting at Haroldswick on Unst and an Olive-backed Pipit seen briefly at Scatsta on Mainland in the evening. On Scilly an American Pipit was a new discovery on St.Mary's. Finally further American waders found today were a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Goldcliff Pools in Gwent and two White-rumped Sandpipers at North Bay on South Uist. Lingering rarities included Siberian Thrush on Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal, Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Spotted Sandpiper and Wilson's Phalarope on Scilly, five Lesser Yellowlegs and seven White-rumped Sandpipers around the country, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Ross's Goose in Lancashire, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan and Blue-winged Teal and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. |
