| In Ireland, a Northern Parula was in County Cork at Firkeel, a Blackpoll Warbler and a Grey-cheeked Thrush were in County Donegal on Arranmore Island and Tory Island respectively, an American Pipit was in County Waterford at Rathmoylan, a Lesser Yellowlegs was in County Wexford at Cahore and a White-rumped Sandpiper was at Inny Strand, County Kerry. Elsewhere, a Red-throated Pipit was at Aberaeron, Ceredigion, a Pallid Harrier was at Reculver, Kent, a Lesser Scaup was at Gouthwaite Reservoir, Yorkshire and further White-rumped Sandpipers were in Cornwall, Argyll and Western Isles (two).
Lingering rarities included the Siberian Thrush and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal, American Pipits in Scilly and County Clare, Isabelline Wheatear in County Waterford, two Zitting Cisticolas and Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Ross's Goose in Merseyside, Wilson's Phalarope and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian and Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Lincolnshire and County Louth. |

| In Ireland an Isabelline Wheatear was found at Ballinclamper in County Waterford and an American Pipit was found at Clahane Strand in County Clare. Elsewhere in Ireland new rarities were all waders, with Baird's and White-rumped Sandpipers at Lough Leam in County Mayo, a Baird's Sandpiper at Kinsalebeg in County Waterford and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Inishmore in County Galway.
On Shetland new rarities comprised a Lanceolated Warbler at Feal on Fetlar, a Rustic Bunting at Haroldswick on Unst and an Olive-backed Pipit seen briefly at Scatsta on Mainland in the evening. On Scilly an American Pipit was a new discovery on St.Mary's. Finally further American waders found today were a Semipalmated Sandpiper at Goldcliff Pools in Gwent and two White-rumped Sandpipers at North Bay on South Uist. Lingering rarities included Siberian Thrush on Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal, Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Spotted Sandpiper and Wilson's Phalarope on Scilly, five Lesser Yellowlegs and seven White-rumped Sandpipers around the country, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Ross's Goose in Lancashire, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan and Blue-winged Teal and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. |

| New rarities included White-rumped Sandpipers at St.Gothian Sands, Cornwall, Tiree, Argyll, Lacken Strand, Co.Mayo, South Uist, Western Isles, and two birds at Guardbridge, Fife, Western Subalpine Warbler at North Levenwick, Shetland, Northern Harrier at New Brighton, Wirral, Semipalmated Sandpiper at Lower Rosses, Co.Sligo, Baird's Sandpiper at Lurgan Green, Co.Louth, Ferruginous Duck at Little Marlow GPs, Bucks, Lesser Yellowlegs at Northwick Warth, Glos, and a historically interesting Rustic Bunting from 24th September at East Hills, Norfolk.

| In Shetland, a Swainson's Thrush was at Ham, Foula, single Rustic Buntings were at Urafirth and Laxfirth, a Subalpine Warbler species was at North Levenwick and an Olive-backed Pipit was on Fair Isle. A White-rumped Sandpiper was at Stinky Bay, Western Isles.
Lingering rarities included the Siberian Thrush, Radde's Warbler and Dusky Warbler in Shetland, Swainson's Thrush in County Donegal, Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk, Siberian Stonechat in County Durham, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Franklin's Gull in Orkney, Wilson's Phalarope in Scilly, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Blue-winged Teal in Shetland and Ross's Goose in Lancashire. |

| The highlight of the day was a (the?) male Siberian Thrush in Shetland at Asta, Mainland, a Blyth's Reed Warbler new on Yell, and on Unst Radde's Warbler, Citrine Wagtail, and at least one Hornemann's Redpoll.
Discoveries elsewhere included a Turkestan Shrike in Suffolk at Dunwich Heath, a brief Hudsonian Whimbrel in Orkney on North Ronaldsay, a Ross's Goose in Merseyside at Marshside, and Pallid Harriers in Angus at Montrose Basin, and at Keyhaven, Hampshire. Continuing rarities comprised the Swainson's Thrush still in County Donegal, Wilson's Phalarope and Spotted Sandpiper both in the Isles of Scilly, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Siberian Stonechat in County Durham, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Angus, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first Red-eyed Vireo of the autumn, in the Western Isles on Barra.
Elsewhere, new rarities comprised an Isabelline Shrike species in Norfolk at Happisburgh, in the Isles of Scilly Wilson's Phalarope on St Mary's and Rustic Bunting on St Agnes, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan at Landimore, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Cork at Garinish, Blyth's Reed Warbler in Angus at Fishtown of Usan, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland at Dunnet Bay, and three White-rumped Sandpipers together at Tacumshin, County Wexford. Continuing rarities comprised the Swainson's Thrush still in County Donegal, a Zitting Cisticola in Suffolk, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Paddyfield Warbler and Spotted Sandpiper in the Isles of Scilly, Radde's Warbler and Hornemman's Redpoll together in Shetland, Dusky Warbler in East Yorkshire, Siberian Stonechat in County Durham, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Cork. |
