| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a White-throated Sparrow in Shetland at Sumburgh Head, Mainland, whilst in Nottinghamshire a Ferruginous Duck was new at Holme Pierrepont.
Elsewhere continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Song Sparrow in County Donegal, Least Tern in County Dublin, Black-winged Pratincole in Shetland, Collared Pratincole and Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, Great Reed Warbler in East Yorkshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Spotted Sandpiper in West Yorkshire at Mirfield, whilst in East Sussex a Red-footed Falcon flew over Firle.
Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Song Sparrow in County Donegal, Least Tern in County Dublin, Black-winged Pratincole in Shetland, Collared Pratincole and Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, Little Bittern in the Isles of Scilly, Great Reed Warbler in East Yorkshire, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Londonderry, and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |

| A Song Sparrow was newly discovered today in a garden at the east end of Tory Island, Co. Donegal.
Continuing rarities included Collared Pratincole in Lincolnshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, Black-winged Pratincole in Shetland, Little Bittern in Scilly, White-rumped Sandpiper in Co. Derry, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, Great Reed Warblers in Shetland and East Yorkshire, and American Black Tern in Northumberland. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Collared Pratincole in Lincolnshire at Frampton Marsh, whilst in East Sussex a Caspian Tern was new at Rye Harbour.
Elsewhere, rarities confirmed as still present were the Least Tern in County Dublin, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, Little Bittern in Scilly, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Great Reed Warbler in East Yorkshire, Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Londonderry, and Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire. |

| New today were a Great Reed Warbler reported in West Yorkshire at Castleford, a Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire at Pennington Marshes, and a Black Kite in Cornwall at Trevalgan.
Elsewhere, rarities confirmed as still present were the Least Tern in County Dublin, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, Little Bittern in Scilly, Great Reed Warblers in both Shetland and East Yorkshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife, Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire. | A surprise early morning flyover in Greater London provided the day's main highlight, as an Alpine Swift was seen flying east over Orpington town centre shortly after 6am.
Continuing highlights included the long-staying Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, a Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, and a Black-winged Pratincole again on Mainland Shetland. A Little Bittern remained on St Mary's in Scilly, while the Least Tern was again seen at Portrane in Co. Dublin. A Great Reed Warbler continued on Fair Isle in Shetland, with another still in East Yorkshire, alongside a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, a Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife, and an American Black Tern in Northumberland. |

| The highlight of the day was the arrival of a Collared Pratincole in West Yorkshire at St Aidan's, whilst in Lincolnshire a Savi's Warbler was discovered at Rimac.

| Discoveries today included a Lesser Yellowlegs in West Sussex at Medmerry and a Laughing Gull reported on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's.

| Tuesday 17th June 2025 | ||

| An Eastern Subalpine Warbler was new in on Fair Isle, in the Shetlands, and represented the fourth individual Subalpine Warbler on the island this spring. Elsewhere, Black Kites were reported flying in off the sea at Dover in Kent and over Wicken Fen in Cambridgeshire. A Caspian Tern was a brief visitor to Abberton Reservoir in Essex and may well have been the bird that was still at Lakenheath in Suffolk in the morning but was not seen subsequently.
The Western Sandpiper remained at Maidens in Ayrshire, with other lingering rarities including the Black-winged Pratincole in Shetland, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Little Bittern on Scilly, Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife and Great Reed Warblers in both Yorkshire and Fair Isle, Shetland. |

| No new rarities were found today, but a Baltic Gull of the nominate form fuscus was confirmed yesterday at Stanton St.John in Oxfordshire.
There was no sign today of the Desert Wheatear in Somerset but the Western Sandpiper remained at Maidens Harbour in Ayrshire and the Black-winged Pratincole continued to frequent Setter Marsh on Mainland Shetland. Elsewhere, lingering rarities included the Little Bittern in Scilly, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Pacific Golden Plover in Cleveland, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Derry, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Great Reed Warbler in East Yorkshire and Iberian Chiffchaff in Fife. |
