| The highlight of the day was, incredibly, the first Nearctic landbird of the autumn: a Cliff Swallow on the Isles of Scilly on St Mary's where it showed alongside the lingering Spotted Sandpiper.
Discoveries elsewhere included a Fea's Petrel species in County Clare passing Bridges of Ross, a Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian at Thorntonloch, a White-rumped Sandpiper in Lincolnshire briefly at Anderby Creek, and in Kent a Black Kite flew over Worth Marsh. Otherwise rarities confirmed as still present were the elusive Cape Gull in Cambridgeshire at Grafham Water, Red-necked Stint in County Cork, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Semipalmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, both Blue-winged Teal and White-rumped Sandpiper in East Yorkshire, Alpine Swift in Western Isles, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, and three White-rumped Sandpipers together in Norfolk. |

| New rarities today included the returning Kelp Gull at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire, White-rumped Sandpiper at Cley Marshes in Norfolk, and a Fea's Petrel off The Mullet in County Mayo.
Lingering rarities included a Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk(3) and East Yorkshire(1), American Golden Plover in Orkney, Spotted Sandpiper on Scilly, Red-necked Stint in County Cork, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. |

| New rarities today included Fea's Petrel species off both The Mullet in County Mayo, and Pendeen in Cornwall, and a Spotted Sandpiper on St Mary's, Scilly.

| The first Fea's Petrel species of the season was seen off Porthgwarra, Cornwall this evening, with another Scopoli's Shearwater off the Scilly pelagic, along with a record breaking 105+ Wilson's Petrels. New White-rumped Sandpipers were at Portrane, County Dublin and Lady's Island Lake, County Wexford, with a Semipalmated Sandpiper identified at Church Norton, Sussex, which was present for its second day.
Lingering rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Gwent, two White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk and another in County Wexford, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Late news from yesterday concerned a South Polar Skua which flew past Bridges of Ross, County Clare. |

| Perhaps the most astounding news today was three Barolo Shearwaters seen off Bridges of Ross, in County Clare, other new rarities consisted of two Caspian Terns, one at Hickling in Norfolk, the other at Hill Head in Hampshire, and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Tacumshin in County Wexford.
Lingering rarities included the Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Gwent, White-rumped Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Alpine Swift in Western Isles. |

| A Pacific Golden Plover was found at Longhoughton Steel, Northumberland this afternoon, a Baird's Sandpiper was briefly at Goldcliff Pools, Gwent and a Caspian Tern was at Tophill Low, Yorkshire.
Lingering rarities included the Red-necked Stint in County Cork, Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Fife, Black-winged Stilt in Sussex, White-rumped Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, American Black Tern in Northumberland and Alpine Swift in Western Isles. |

| An adult Red-necked Stint was identified at Ballycotton, County Cork, present for its second day, and a Brown Booby was seen in Kent off North Foreland then Kingsdown.
A Black-winged Stilt was found at Cuckmere Haven, Sussex, an Alpine Swift was at Loch an Tiumpan, Western Isles and a Black Kite flew over Aveton Gifford, Devon. Lingering rarities included the Stejneger's Scoter in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Pacific Diver in County Clare, Lesser Yellowlegs' in Lincolnshire and Fife and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. |

| New rarities consisted of late news of an Eastern Olivaceous Warbler at Cudham in Greater London, Franklin's Gull at Loch Ordais on Western Isles, and White-rumped Sandpiper at Titchwell in Norfolk.
The Stejneger's Scoter remained on the sea off Musselburgh in Lothian. Other lingering rarities included the Pacific Diver in County Clare, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Black-winged Stilt and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Fife. |

| A White-rumped Sandpiper was found on the Humber Estuary at Spurn in East Yorkshire and a juvenile Black-winged Stilt was at Cliffe Pools in Kent.
The Greater Sand Plover continued its stay on the beaches around Newbiggin in Northumberland and the Stejneger's Scoter was back on the sea off Musselburgh in Lothian. Other lingering rarities included the Pacific Diver in County Clare, Ferruginous Ducks in both Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent and Lesser Yellowlegs in Fife. |
