  New rarities found today included a Richardson's Cackling Goose at Cross Lough, County Mayo and a Lesser Scaup at Auchenreoch Loch, Dumfries and Galloway.

Lingering rarities included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, Canvasback in Essex, Baikal Teal in Somerset, Lesser Scaups in Devon (seven), Somerset, Pembrokeshire (two) and County Waterford, Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk (two) and Nottinghamshire, Red-breasted Geese in Essex, Norfolk and Northumberland, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Sussex and Bonaparte's Gulls in Cornwall (two) and County Antrim.

Sunday 31st December 2023  
  Rarities today comprised Canvasback and Red-breasted Goose both still in Essex, Black-throated Thrush still in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose, Pallid Harrier, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier still commuting between Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitcher in East Sussex, Kentish Plover and Lesser Scaup in Somerset, Lesser Scaup in Pembrokeshire, Ferruginous Duck in Nottinghamshire, Bonaparte's Gulls in County Antrim and Cornwall (3), and Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Suffolk, and East Yorkshire.

Saturday 30th December 2023  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Penduline Tit in Kent at Oare Marshes.

Elsewhere lingering rarities comprised the Canvasback still in Essex, both Baikal Teal and Kentish Plover in Somerset, Black-throated Thrush in East Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Ferruginous Duck in Nottinghamshire, and Lesser Scaups in Pembrokeshire, Somerset, and the Western Isles.

Friday 29th December 2023  
  Two first-winter Bonaparte's Gulls were confirmed as present in Cornwall today, one at Hayle this morning before joining the other at Marazion briefly at midday.

Other lingering rarities still present included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Canvasback in Essex, Baikal Teal in Somerset, Lesser Scaups in Devon (five), Somerset and Pembrokeshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Nottinghamshire, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Carmarthenshire/Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitcher in Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and Lincolnshire and Kentish Plover in Somerset.

Thursday 28th December 2023  
  In Somerset, a Baikal Teal was discovered at Greylake RSPB this morning. A White-billed Diver flew past Corsewall Point in Dumfries and Galloway this afternoon.

Lingering rarities still present today included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, Canvasback in Essex, Lesser Scaups in Pembrokeshire (two) and Devon (five), Ferruginous Ducks in Cambridgeshire and Nottinghamshire, Pallid Harrier in Norfok, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, White-billed Diver in Orkney and Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk.

Wednesday 27th December 2023  
  No new rarities today.

Lingering rarities included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Canvasback and Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo and a Lesser Yellowlegs in each of Suffolk and Lincolnshire.

Tuesday 26th December 2023  
  A Ferruginous Duck was found at Idle Valley NR, Nottinghamshire, with other, long staying, individuals still in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

Other lingering rarities included the Black-throated Thrush in Yorkshire, Pallid Harriers in Norfolk and Carmarthenshire /Glamorgan, Lesser Scaups in Devon, Somerset, Pembrokeshire, Nottinghamshire and Clyde, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo and a Lesser Yellowlegs in each of Suffolk and Lincolnshire.

Monday 25th December 2023  
  The highlights today were the Red-breasted Goose still in Argyll on Islay, Pallid Harrier and Pallas's Warbler together in Norfolk at Warham Greens, Lesser Yellowlegs still in Lincolnshire at Frampton Marsh, Lesser Scaup in Pembrokeshire at Penberry Reservoir, and a Red-breasted Flycatcher new in Devon at Exminster Marshes.

  Discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall at Hayle Estuary.

  Discoveries today included a Penduline Tit in County Cork at Lough Beg, and a Lesser Scaup on the Orkney Isles at Loch of Harray, Mainland.

Elsewhere lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Canvasback in Essex, Black-throated Thrush in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Geese in Essex and Norfolk, Pallid Harriers in Glamorgan and Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Lesser Scaup in Devon, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, White-billed Diver on the Orkney Isles (4) and Shetland Isles, and Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Suffolk, and East Yorkshire.
