Lingering rarities included the Grey-headed Lapwing in Western Isles, Black Duck in County Mayo, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Black-winged Stilts Northamptonshire, Suffolk (two), Norfolk (two), Gloucestershire and in County Wexford, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, a Subalpine Warbler species in County Cork and a Bee-eater in Yorkshire. Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Red-backed Shrike, a Common Rosefinch, a Serin, a Marsh Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Grey-headed Wagtail, four Golden Orioles, two Montagu's Harriers, four Honey Buzzards, two Night Herons, three Purple Herons, 23 Glossy Ibises, nine Temminck's Stints, a Ring-necked Ducks, two American Wigeon, a Taiga Bean Goose, a White-winged Black Tern, two Roseate Terns, two Iceland Gulls and two Glaucous Gulls. |

New discoveries today consisted of the rediscovery of a Grey-headed Lapwing at Balemore in Western Isles, Hooded Merganser at Grimbister in Orkney, Tawny Pipit at St Marys on Scilly, Bee Eater at Spurn in East Yorkshire, Squacco Heron at Filey Dams NR in North Yorkshire, and a Black-winged Stilt at Summer Leys NR in Northamptonshire. Lingering rarities today comprised the Ferruginous Duck, Great Reed Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, three Black-winged Stilts, two in Norfolk and one in Northamptonshire, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire, White-billed Diver in Orkney, and Savi's Warbler in East Yorkshire. Scarcities included three Golden Orioles, Taiga Bean Goose, two Surf Scoters, three Purple Herons, Dotterel, Marsh Warbler, 10 Temminck's Stints, eight Honey Buzzards, Glaucous Gull, 14 Glossy Ibises, two Long-tailed Skuas, Red-backed Shrike, Green-winged Teal, two Pomarine Skuas, Bluethroat, two Iceland Gulls, two American Wigeons, and two Ring-necked Ducks. |

Rarities today comprised the Laughing Gull still on the Isles of Scilly, Western Subalpine Warbler still on the Shetland Isles, Long-billed Dowitcher, two Great Reed Warblers, and three Black-winged Stilts all in Norfolk, and Bee-eater and two Black-winged Stilts in Lincolnshire. Scarcities included White-spotted Bluethroat (Gloucestershire), American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Montagu's Harrier (Oxfordshire), Purple Heron (Norfolk), Golden Oriole (Suffolk), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Ring-necked Duck (South Yorkshire), Dotterel (Orkney Isles), three Red-backed Shrikes, 10 Glossy Ibises (together in Lincolnshire), and a total of 17 Temminck's Stints. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Squacco Heron in Lancashire at Leighton Moss whilst elsewhere new rarities comprised a Pallid Harrier on the Orkney Isles on Westray, a Black Kite briefly in Staffordshire near Boarsgrove, a Red-rumped Swallow in Kent at South Foreland, and Bee-eaters in Kent (3), Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk (5), and East Yorkshire. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Forster's Tern in County Galway, Laughing Gull on the Isles of Scilly, Western Subalpine Warbler on the Shetland Isles, both Great Reed Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff on territory in Gloucestershire, and Black-winged Stilts in Gloucestershire, Norfolk and Suffolk (2). Scarcities included Common Rosefinch (Devon), Night Heron (Norfolk), Ring-necked Duck (Yorkshire), two each of Bluethroat, Montagu's Harrier, and migrant Dotterel, four of both Golden Oriole and Red-backed Shrike, 13 Temminck's Stints, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises. |

Rarities today comprised a Red-throated Pipit new on the Orkney Isles on Papa Westray, the Forster's Tern again in County Clare, both Caspian Tern and Great Reed Warbler still in Norfolk, Subalpine Warbler species on the Shetland Isles, Iberian Chiffchaff in song in Gloucestershire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, and Black-winged Stilts in Gloucestershire, Norfolk (3), and County Wexford. Scarcities included American Golden Plover (East Yorkshire), Montagu's Harrier (Essex), Purple Heron (Kent), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Ring-necked Duck (West Yorkshire), Great Shearwater (Western Isles), two each of Bluethroat, Golden Oriole, and Long-tailed Skua, five Red-backed Shrikes, 10 Temminck's Stints, and a total of 15 Glossy Ibises. Late news for yesterday concerned a Great Reed Warbler in Worcestershire at Grimley. |

The highlights of the day were a Short-toed Eagle briefly in Cumbria at Ambleside, a Broad-billed Sandpiper in Northumberland at Budle Bay, a Savi's Warbler in East Yorkshire at Blacktoft Sands, and on the Shetland Isles a Snowy Owl and two Subalpine Warbler species on Fair Isle, with further Subalpine Warbler species on both Out Skerries and Unst. Rarities elsewhere comprised Caspian Tern, Great Reed Warbler, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, the territorial Iberian Chiffchaff still in Gloucestershire, Black Kite briefly in Cambridgeshire, Bee-eaters in Kent (4) and Suffolk, and Black-winged Stilts in Gloucestershire, Norfolk (3), North Yorkshire (2), and Suffolk (2). Scarcities included Red-breasted Flycatcher, Icterine Warbler, and two Bluethroats all on the Isle of May, Fife, whilst elsewhere American Golden Plover (East Yorkshire), White-winged Black Tern (Kent), American Wigeon (Shetland), Spotted Crake (Oxfordshire), Glossy Ibis (Suffolk), two of both Golden Oriole and Night Heron, six Red-backed Shrikes, and a total of 17 Temminck's Stints. Significant late news concerned the Elegant Tern yesterday back in County Galway at Inishroo, and on Saturday a male Black-eared Wheatear species at Hound Tor, Devon. |

New discoveries today consisted of a Blyth's Reed Warbler at Kilnsea in East Yorkshire, Great Reed Warbler at Martin Mere in Lancashire, possible Subalpine Warbler sp at North Foreland in Kent, Broad-billed Sandpiper at Foula in Shetland, Black-winged Stilt at Slimbridge WWT in Gloucestershire, Black Kite at multiple locations in Cornwall, Pacific Diver at Toormore in County Cork, and 16 Bee Eaters in Lincolnshire, Suffolk and Derbyshire. Lingering rarities today comprised the Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Iberian Chiffchaff in Gloucestershire, Subalpine Warbler sp, and Semipalmated Sandpiper in Orkney, Black-winged Stilt in Gloucestershire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, White-billed Diver in Western Isles, Ferruginous Duck, Great Reed Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Black Duck in County Mayo, White-winged Scoter in Fife, and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. | New discoveries today included a Semipalmated Sandpiper and Broad-billed Sandpiper together on Papa Westray, Orkney, a Great Reed Warbler at Minsmere RSPB, Suffolk, a Western Subalpine Warbler on Portland, Dorset, a Subalpine Warbler species on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, 12 Bee-eaters at Hickling, Norfolk and single Black Kites at Esclusham Mountain, Wrexham, Pembroke, Pembrokeshire and Wilverley Inclosure, Hampshire.
Lingering rarities included the Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Black-winged Stilts in Kent (four) and Somerset, Pallid Harrier in Shropshire, Eastern Subalpine Warbler and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, Iberian Chiffchaff in Gloucestershire, 13 Bee-eaters in Lincolnshire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire and Ferruginous Duck in Nottinghamshire. Lingering rarities today comprised the Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Iberian Chiffchaff in Gloucestershire, Pallid Harrier in Shropshire, Forster's Tern in Dorset, 4 Black-winged Stilts in Kent and two in Suffolk, Kentish Plover in Essex, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Black Duck in County Mayo, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland. New discoveries today consisted of a Kentish Plover at Landguard Nature Reserve in Suffolk, Broad-billed Sandpiper at Burnham Deepdale in Norfolk, Black Kite at Perranarworthal in Cornwall, Bee Eaters at Driffield in East Yorkshire, Pacific Diver at Fetlar in Shetland, Ferruginous Duck at Holme Pierrepont in Nottinghamshire, and four Black-winged Stilts at Worth in Kent and two at Welney in Norfolk. Lingering rarities today comprised the Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler in Shetland, Iberian Chiffchaff in Gloucestershire, Pallid Harrier in Shropshire, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Black-winged Stilt in Nottinghamshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Great Reed Warbler in Norfolk, and Western Subalpine Warbler in Shetland.
