Rarities today comprised the White-winged Scoter, Hooded Merganser, and Richardson's Cackling Goose all still in County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Gwynedd, American Herring Gull reported again in County Cork, both Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Kent and Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, and Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Surrey. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Yellow-browed Warbler, Green-winged Teal, and Glossy Ibis, three of Surf Scoter and American Wigeon, seven Ring-necked Ducks, 14 Shorelarks, and a total of 38 Waxwings. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a male Baikal Teal in Gwynedd at Foryd Bay. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, both White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, Richardson's Cackling Goose, and three Ferruginous Ducks all in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Kent and Somerset, Kentish Plover in Somerset, King Eiders in Cleveland and Lothian, Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Surrey, and the Western Isles, and in Fife the Pacific Diver was reported again. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (County Durham), Little Bunting and Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Sabine's Gull and Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), two Glossy Ibises, three of both Surf Scoter and American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, five Ring-billed Gulls, eight Waxwings, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 18 Shorelarks. |

The highlight of the day was the discovery of a first-winter American Herring Gull in County Cork at Sherkin Island albeit just a brief encounter. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Isabelline Wheatear still in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier, Richardson's Cackling Goose, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Kent and Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, and Lesser Scaup in Surrey. Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Rough-legged Buzzard (Shetland Isles), Surf Scoter (Anglesey), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Green-winged Teal (Northumberland), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Ring-billed Gull, and American Wigeon, six Glossy Ibises, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 22 Waxwings. |

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (Highland), two Snow Geese, three each of both Ring-billed Gull and Black Brant, four Surf Scoters, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Glossy Ibises, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 74 Waxwings. Scarcities incouded Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (Clyde), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (County Kerry), two each of Little Bunting, American Wigeon, Surf Scoter, Lapland Bunting, Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, Snow Goose, and Black Brant, four Glossy Ibises, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 28 Waxwings. |
